Old hotel. Must have been quite nice 40-50 years ago in its prime. Pool is nice and very warm. Lounge has surprisingly excellent beer selection. Lobby, hallways, rooms are very dated but functional and clean.

Nice hotel near Gettysburg battlefields

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: I was at an event at the expo center on the grounds, so staying at the hotel was very convenient.
Cons: Areas of the hotel were dark. The indoor pool was closed for maintenance. There was a nice lounge in the lobby that looked awkward.
Location: Gettysburg attractions were all closeby.
Battlefield and visitors center were a few minutes away. The room at the Aspire hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Lounge has great food. Looks like Ill be back to in the summer to visit the nearby attractions!

Night in Gettysburg

Posted Jan 20, 2015
I had booked a king room at the Eisenhower Hotel for 1 night. When I went to the hotel, it was closed and a sign directed me to the hotel next door - Aspire Hotel. It is part of the same complex. I was given a room with 2 king beds. Having previously stayed in the Eisenhower Hotel, the room at the Aspire was nicer.

Thank you for your feedback. While you are correct our Aspire Hotel is the newer hotel here at our property, I'm happy to say that renovations in the Eisenhower have begun. The pool and pool deck have both been repainted and look fantastic! Come back soon and see what else has been done.

Good Room with a disapointment.

Posted Dec 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I intended to stay in the Eisenhower part of the Hotel facility because we used to take our family there in the mid 1980s when it was a Sheraton. When we arrived we found that the Eisenhower was being re-modeled and we had to stay in the Aspin.. This was a very good upgrade, to a very large room.. Very comfortable.. We were disappointed, however, that we were unable to stay in the Eisenhower.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us, we appreciate it. I'm sorry you were unable to stay in the Eisenhower, but with a much needed renovation in progress, we felt putting guests in Aspire was the better option. Come back soon and see the changes at the Eisenhower.

Nice, but no pool!

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Clean
Cons: The person at the front desk had a terrible cold and should not have been on duty.
Location: Gettysburg battlefield and several very nice restaurants. Love the town!
I have been going here for 25 years and have always liked staying there. I was disappointed that I was not told that the pool and the hot tube were closed for repairs... Was clean and nice however.

Don't go here over a holiday….

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Cons: bathroom….shower head was hard to regulate and seemed rickety…old
Location: Location is very far from town. That would have been okay if the restaurants and stores listed on their site had been open...
We stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving. First day we arrived we were the ONLY ones in this gigantic place. But yet we got a room with no view. And the bathroom had no shower curtain. We were also informed that the pool was closed for the season. The pool was one of the main reasons I wanted this hotel as I have tow young children who needed to be entertained and a place to let go of some energy. When we complained they offered to open it. We took them up on that offer a few days later only to regret it. The "indoor" pool was actually in the adjacent hotel and we had to walk a long way and across a cold corridor to get there. The pool area was not lit well and the roof was leaking cold air and melting snow. The bottom of the pool looked like it was old and had been partially scraped. My girls described it as spooky and we elected to head back to our room. Additionally, none of the restaurants were open. So there was no where nearby to get breakfast or any other meal. On thanksgiving eve they gave us some paper bags with some breakfast items, justice low fat cheese cubes? and pastries that looked like they were purchased our of a vending machine. We also had NO housekeeping service for our entire forum night stay except for one afternoon when a housekeeper delivered a few extra towels and took the trash and did nothing else. Why did this hotel remain open over this holiday at all? They did NOT provide the services they advertise on their website.& there's more

Just OK

Nice area but was expensive for the condition of the hotel and they did not even offer a continental breakfast for the price. The heater was so loud that you could not hear the TV. Appearance was old, needing some updating and did not feel clean.
