Only if your desperate.

Posted Jul 2, 2015
This was a late decision to visit Gettysburg. It was pretty convenient but there were other hotels much closer. The room was clean but when I sat on the toilet the entire thing moved. I though it was going to break off the bolts. Also the maid service was in the hallway early in the morning to clean. 7:30 is to early to be making noise. I would not go again. There are better choices.

Pros: The beds were surprisingly comfortable
Cons: The rooms and entire hotel need to be modernized
The hotel staff were very courteous, no complaints there. The room however was a different story. It was very dated and dusty. There was no mini fridge in the room as well, something I thought would be standard in all rooms. The door handle to the balcony was broken as well. You needed to pull on the glass to open the door. The beds were very comfortable. For the money paid I expected more. If the stay was longer I would of been more disappointed but for an overnight trip it served it's purpose.

Would not recommend.

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Location: Was reasonably close to area attractions.
This was once a nice hotel, but is now past its prime and not well maintained. The room/ beds were comfortable enough, so that was good. On check in we found someone's prescription drugs lying on the rug, and nail clippings in the sink. The wallpaper is coming loose, all the painted wood work is badly chipped and there was a hole in the bathroom wall were a poor repair was made. While the staff was friendly enough, they didn't seem well informed. For example, when I asked whether there were towels in the pool area, we were told to take ours from the room. Then we could ask at the desk for them to bring more to the room. When we went to the pool, we discovered that there were pool towels stacked In a little side entry. Pool filters weren't running when we used the pool. The "free barbecue" was grilled hot dogs in the circular drive by the front desk. It wasn't the worst hotel experience ever, but I was very disappointed given the price paid for the 2 night stay. I wouldn't stay again, nor would I recommend this hotel.

Adequate hotel but dated and in need of updates

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds and a nice pool area that could be used 24/7 with discretion
Cons: Breakfast buffet. The hotel charges 8.99/pp with the $2 discount coupon, but the food quality was horrible, table cloths stained. Help needed.
Location: Great location, near all historic landmarks!!!
Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Hotel is large and spacious, but neglected. New management company seems interested in restoring and revitalizing the hotel, but there is quite a bit of work to do. Still, this was an affordable hotel in the area and made for a quick respite in a tourist area where a quick reservation was needed.

Awesome hotel. Friendly staff. Great stay.

Checked in for 1 night. Didn't want to pay a lot of money. Was surprisingly affordable. Staff was friendly and they "upgraded" my room for free- although I suspect it was done because part of hotel was under construction. Didn't need the upgrade to a 2 king bed because it was just me, but appreciated it nonetheless. Ice cream social at 10pm was cute idea.

HI Katherine, Thank you for your great review and for staying with us, we appreciate it. You are correct a part of our hotel is being renovated so we gladly upgrade our guests to make sure they have a fantastic stay. Our free Saturday night ice cream social is a HUGE hit! I enjoy it because it gives me time to chat with our guests and hear about their trips.

Cons: Everything very outdated not clean but staff was courteous
Power went out after being at the hotel for only an hour. Found a spider on my pillow and dirt on the floor. The hotel was very outdated and will never stay there again.

Great for baseball families!

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Manager offered to get me contact lens solution free of charge. Free BBQ on Friday and ice cream social on Saturday.
Cons: Add lounge chairs to pool area. Tiki Bar at pool wasn't open. Would have spent mucho dinero there if it were.
Location: 10-15 drive to Emmitsburg and/or Gettysburg. Hotel is situated away from crowds and commotion, but easily accessible to whatever you want to do.
Our son had baseball games in Emmitsburg, Gettysburg, and Waynesboro. Needed a reasonable hotel located near all 3 locations. Eisenhower was in the middle of all 3. Allowed us to shower and relax between games. Easy access to Gettysburg and Emmitsburg attractions. Thought we were getting 2 double beds but were surprised with 2 kings! Room was huge and very comfortable. If you don't want to walk between buildings from Aspire to Eisenhower for pool, make sure you specify. Walking across breezeway between facilities was not a problem for us.

Thank you for staying with us, we appreciate your business! There sure were a lot of baseball players here this past weekend, I hope the games went well. Our hotels are completely connected by a hallway so walking between buildings is completely enclosed, although we are a very large complex. I look forward to seeing you again.

Dated hotel but nice amenities.

Posted May 26, 2015
Needed a king with sleeper sofa. It wasn't what was given to us but the front desk worked and worked till we received what we needed on a busy holiday weekend. Saturday night there was a pill pay with a DJ and complementary pizza. Ice was already in bags, free for the taking. We have a little dog and the hotel was pretty-friendly. All in all, an enjoyable stay. We'll stay here again.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with us! It was an extremely busy weekend, but we tried to make it as easy as possible for our guests. The free pool party with dj and dinner buffet was enjoyed by over 240 people each night! Free bagged ice helped everyone that was headed out for the day. I hope to see you again when you visit Gettysburg.
