Excellent locationPosted Oct 24, 2013
Location: History surrounds you so if you are a history buff, as we are, this is the place to go.
We have stayed in this hotel several times when we have visited Gettysburg. The room we mistakenly reserved was a handicapped accesible room. We immediately went to the main desk to try to change our room so someone who needs the accomodation would have it but there were no other rooms available. The room was not as comfortable to us as a regular room so that is why we didn't give it the highest rating. The breakfast was adequate. Love to sit on the porch and read.

A very pleasant surprise!Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: All of the areas we were in were very well kept and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The balcony was a plus. Breakfast was very nice.
Location: Location is a plus. You can walk to downtown shops and restaurants and the battlefields are nearby.
I can in all honesty say this hotel is top notch. I have worked as a front desk person in the Hampton Inn Chain and love the cleanliness of those hotels. They are, however, getting pricier each year so we decided to try this Travelodge after reviewing comments on this website. It was wonderful. Kathi, the front desk person who checked us in was very helpful and courteous.

Nice Hotel, Unfriendly Front Desk PersonPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: We enjoyed the beds and the nice, clean room.
Cons: Clerks need to be warm and friendly to visitors and need a good talking to in this area.
The room was nice but the acoustics of the hotel were a bit over the top. You could hear way too much of what was going on in adjacent rooms such as water running that sounded so close like it was your own room. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We were mostly happy about that. The front desk clerk wasn't very friendly and acted like we were bothering her when we got there. She never smiled one time and was just not very friendly at all.

Convenient to most of the interested pointsPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
No direct corridor between two buildings, you need to go outside to enter the building (one without the elevator). Staffs are curtsey, breakfast is fair, however, the eating area is small. Will consider staying again in future visit.

Great Hotel for Walking To All The ShopsPosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: As stated above the convenience of being able to walk to the shops and the restaurants.
Cons: The breakfast is great for people that don't have a dietary problem with wheat & milk. It would be nice if hotels had Rice Chex & non dairy milk.
We have stayed several times at the Travelodge, the staff is excellent and the rooms are very clean, love having the balcony to go out and sit on, on a nice warm night. I would recommend this hotel for the convenience of being able to walk to the shops and the restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfasts were very good, as was the room. And the location couldn't have been better. However, for two senior women, lugging our suitcases up to the second floor in the section you assigned us was very difficult. When I made the reservation I understood there was an elevator, but in our building there was none. I think you need to check with your guests ahead of time to make sure they're capable of carrying luggage up stairs to floor #2.
