Fun Weekend GetawayPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: The service was great. Loved the turndown service/all of the goodies. It was so nice being able to wake up and have breakfast without leaving room.
Cons: A little something to drown out the street noise, possibly a ceiling fan? I believe the next time we would make sure we are in a queen room.
Location: Excellent location close to a ton of activities. Loved the Pub restaurant on the round about. We ate dinner there both evenings-Excellent Service!
We stayed at the James Getty's Hotel for our anniversary weekend while touring Historic Gettysburg. The staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating, although we had very few requests. Our room was spotless! We loved the turndown service, goodies in the evening and little breakfast basket as well. We stayed in a room facing the street and only wished we has brought along a fan to drown out a little of the street noise, which is to be expected, since it was right in the middle of town. Great location with off street parking right at hotel! We were so close to downtown that we were able to walk to many of the activities. Highly recommend The Pub restaurant right down the street as well. Staff was so friendly and the service was great so much that we ate dinner there both evenings. We will likely come back again, with fan in hand. Great hotel, wonderful staff!!

Very convenient to historic districtPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a very nice stay at the James Gettys Hotel. The daily delivery of fresh muffins for breakfast was very nice. The décor is charming, and the accommodations were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and classic...Posted Aug 15, 2013
Beautiful room, a suite really....nice continental breakfast left in room....immaculately clean....my one concern-request, if possible, a room away from street, surprising amount of traffic during the night...that surprised us... Next door "The Blue Parrot" - very nice restaurant, good and inexpensive food!

A really nice place right downtown Gettysburg. The suites are really nice, the service (mmmh, breakfast cakes) is really good and the location couldn't be any better.

Would return to this Inn in a heartbeat.Posted Aug 7, 2013
Excellent location - right next to Lincoln Square along with many restaurants and shops. Excellent service - desk service was prompt and very helpful, the suite was clean and comfortable, and the evening cookies, chocolate and morning goodies were wonderful. This locally owned hotel provided us with better lodging than we have had in many years. We were very happy with our stay.

Good Old Fashion Hospitality!Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: The upkeep was incredible. Clean and well taken care of. Loved the personal touches!
Cons: Nothing to improve.
Location: It is close to Gettysburg College and right downtown in the middle of all the happenings. Truly a wonderful place to go.
Attended a conference at the college. I had forgotten an item and the person at the hotel was quick to help me with my needs. She also took time to help with the internet as I was having a bit of trouble. Her suggestions for dinner took me to the Pub and Restaurant where I had a fabulous meal and just right across the street. Beds were turned down in the evening, a bread basket with orange juice awaited me in the morning and it was just wonderful! I plan to take my husband there just for relaxation!

Charming historic hotelPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very charming and the service was fantastic. If you are looking for a place in the heart of the historic district this one is it! The rooms have the look and feel of historic Gettysburg. The only complaints I have are that the room tended to be stuffy and the was a lot of traffic noise from Chambersburg St. The was a surprising amount of semi traffic and as our room faced the street you could here every bit of it.
