Busy weekend in Gettysburg

Pros: The room was clean and nice, but the double bed proved to be small for 2 adults. They have a kitchenette, but you have to ask for cooking pots & pans
Cons: Getting people in on time is essential.
Location: The hotel staff told us about an Irish restaurant down the street and it was a great recommendation.
We arrived 2 hours prior to check in, not really expecting to get in that early and we did not. But when we came back after the 3pm check in we still had to wait another 45 minutes for our room. We were also expecting more from the "breakfast" part of this B&B. What we got were 3 slices of quite good coffee cake, coffee, and a carafe of OJ, all brought up to the room the night before.

Gathering of Friends

Pros: We liked the separate living/kitchen and bedroom areas. It has a complete kitchen area for a longer stay.
Location: It was nice to walk around the town in the evening. It has an old time charm.
We had 6 couples meeting and staying at the James Getty. They are college friends who get together 2 or 3 times a year. I wasn't sure how this small hotel would handle us but the did a wonderful job. We all just loved it. My husband and I will probably stay there again.

Historic Gettysburg hotel.

Pros: Found room clean and cozy. Enjoyed evening snack and continental breakfast.
Cons: Add TV for bedroom.
Location: Hotel is in historic area of Gettysburg and close to Lincoln Square, David Wills House, and Shriver Museum.
Found hotel staff very accommodating. Room was nicely decorated.

Fun Weekend Getaway

Pros: The service was great. Loved the turndown service/all of the goodies. It was so nice being able to wake up and have breakfast without leaving room.
Cons: A little something to drown out the street noise, possibly a ceiling fan? I believe the next time we would make sure we are in a queen room.
Location: Excellent location close to a ton of activities. Loved the Pub restaurant on the round about. We ate dinner there both evenings-Excellent Service!
We stayed at the James Getty's Hotel for our anniversary weekend while touring Historic Gettysburg. The staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating, although we had very few requests. Our room was spotless! We loved the turndown service, goodies in the evening and little breakfast basket as well. We stayed in a room facing the street and only wished we has brought along a fan to drown out a little of the street noise, which is to be expected, since it was right in the middle of town. Great location with off street parking right at hotel! We were so close to downtown that we were able to walk to many of the activities. Highly recommend The Pub restaurant right down the street as well. Staff was so friendly and the service was great so much that we ate dinner there both evenings. We will likely come back again, with fan in hand. Great hotel, wonderful staff!!

Very homey. Internet wasn't working and my husband had some work he would like to have done. They were going to fix it the next week. Baked goods for breakfast were great as well as the orange juice in the refrigerator when we arrived.
