This was an older motel from the late 50s or 60s, I would guess. The lady in the office was very friendly, the room we had was clean and very nice. We were in the country with a landscape view in the back. We had asked for two beds, which were very comfortable. There was no hairdryer, coffee maker, etc. - items you might find in a much newer motel, but we had a phone, television, towels, microwave, refrigerator and comfort. The room was paneled with knotty pine and very nice. The price was right - all the motels in the town of Gettysburg were quite high. If you are just looking for a nice place to sleep, this is it.

i was traveling with my dog and was happy to have a room in the back, near the grassy area. The room was very clean and had a refrigerator and a micro wave which made my stay very convenient. My only problem was coordinating the two remotes (Comcast and TV) to get TV reception. I just was not clever enough to make it work. The manager came to my room and got the TV working for me but when I tried to change channels, I lost reception. I am sure this would not be a problem for most people. Those working in the motel were very friendly and helpfu. I was also able to park very close to my room which made loading and unloading so much easier for a person traveling alone with a dog.
