“great romantic get-away”
Our one night stay was the perfect ending to a great romantic get-away. Breakfast was very nice; room was comfortable with nice amenities. Location on main street was a little noisy with the fire station close, but it completed the small town ambience. Close your eyes and you could imagine yourself as the lady of the house!
“Great Hotel and great character”
The history of this hotel is impressive, and the decor inside and outside is magnificent. The hotel staff service was excellent, and the Chef is world class. A very nice experience and a nice atmosphere. I would definately recomment the hotel to my colleagues and friends.
“enjoyed my stay”
Selected the mansion because of an review in our local newspaper about the restaurant on site in the mansion. The mansion lived up to expections. The breakfast on both days was wonderful. The location was very convient to visiting Gettsburg and yet the mansion was in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our dinner on Saturaday night, the service was wonderful, highly recommend eating at the resturant open in the mansion Wednesday-Saturday. We stayed in Ayres room, very large, bathroom was also a large room w/a huge old fashion tub.
“Excellent, all-around!”
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Sheppard Mansion. The staff was professional, helpful and extremely polite. Breakfast each day in the pretty breakfast room was delicious....even the fresh fruit that accompanied it was sweet and perfectly ripe....coffee was great also. The drive to Gettysburg was only about 20 min. so it turned out to be an excellent place to stay all around.....
