"Highly recommended"
A warm, friendly and inviting bed & breakfast at very reasonable prices. Our room was clean, comfortable and a good size, with a separate (private) bathroom - also clean and a good size. Very good breakfasts which Norma will lay out whenever you require (within reason !) - in our case, various times between 7:30 and 10:00. The location is definitely residential and a little out of the centre - but ideal for us as we were visiting relatives. We travelled using public transport - the property is 5 minutes walk from the Quattro Venti stop on the FR3 rail line and is also convenient for bus numbers 75 & 44. In terms of sightseeing, it's easy to walk up Gianicolo hill from the property, and from there into the old part of Trastevere. Sites in the centre of Rome can be easily reached via public transport (this was our 3rd trip to Rome so we'd already seen the central sites, but this time wanted to explore more of the old part of Trastevere). An unexpected illness (absolutely nothing to do with Normarobby) during our stay meant that we had quite a worrying 24 hour period but Norma & Robby were kind enough to call a doctor who gave me a thorough check-over and reassured me that I was fit to fly. This personal concern from Norma & Robby made a big difference to what otherwise would have been a difficult situation. Even if our trip had been illness-free, we'd definitely stay here again.

"Good place, good location"
If you want to stay in a classic Italian apartment, then this could be the place for you. Lovely, charming room with good en suite. Good location for transit from FCO airport, and just a short tram ride to town. There were a couple of small things lacking, such as air con that did not go cold, flat batteries in the TV remote, and a breakfast not worth the bother. Coffee and tea OK though, and the kitchen is good for the self-caterer. Overall very happy.

"Good hotel in a quiet location"
I have passed by this hotel a number of times on past stays in Rome in the Monteverde area and have thought it would be a good place to stay. The hotel has strong appeal from the outside with beautiful gardens and a great pool. The rooms were charming, we had two, but each had the tub set-up with the handheld shower. You can't shower and not get the water all over the floor. We noticed other rooms had a shower only, they should convert them all. The breakfast room on the top floor was a great place to overview the area including the dome of St. Peter's. The restaurants in the close by area were good, but if you figure out how to find the long set of steps by the nearby Dell'Acqua Paola Fountain, you can quickly drop into the Trastevere neighborhood, full of fantastic bars and restaurants. Buses are close by and the hotel can quickly arrange cabs. We were there 8 days. During that time, the hotel had 3 events at the pool that had loud music until midnight. Not a problem with our room on the front on the hotel, but could be a problem with the room we had on the back of the hotel if you are early sleepers. All in all though, a great stay, we will return.

"Average hotel, reasonable location"
Hotel was clean but in need of refurb. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. Location was too far out to walk to main attractions but under 10 min walk to Tram Station. For the price paid it was reasonable.

"Great rustic feel"
Great residential rental. Affordable and very modern, clean. The staff are a bit hard to get a hold of, but I think that's just all of Italy in general with their siesta break in the afternoons. The rooms are extremely modern, clean and well kept. The only real negative is that location. It's a bit out of the centre of Rome and at the time the tram that serviced that area was not working so it was either a gong show to take the bus or a 15-20 minute walk to the bus station to catch the tram. Not really the hotels fault I know, but just shows that it's not close to any subway line. I would stay again, but give myself more time to see Rome due to the transportation issues.

"Great hotel at a good price in Rome"
Its a great BnB everything is hotel style and very posh inside... Just like living in a big house..staff is very friendly and always ready to help. It's sort of midway from the railway station and the airport, so you would have to spend some money on taxis but the quality the hotel is more than what they charge .. Would stay again
