Easy to access hotel especially if relying on the trains for transport. It is obviously a meeting & function area so it can be hard getting a booking at the restaurant unless you book in early. It has been magnificently restored.

Very charming--"old world"--but with modern touches. Wonderful linens and we actually had a "face cloth" a couple of days! The restaurant was wonderful, especially the continental breakfast which was expensive but very nice.

Booked a double room for 1 night in the city, really good location and parking at the back of the hotel was ideal. Jennifer on reception was fantastic, really helpful. Room was just what we needed for one night, comfy bed and big bathroom for the size of the room.

Great hotel facing a lovely park.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
I loved the wool draperies and upholstery in the rooms. Floor to ceiling marble baths are stunning. Ours was dark brown and a bit dark but the window wall in the room helped. They should put some high watt bulbs in the bath.
Dining room food pricey and just so so. Wait staff all seemed confused somehow. Included breakfast was very high quality however.
Do your self a favor and spend some time in their second floor bar. A beautifully appointed room.

Long an important industrial centre and port, modern Glasgow is one of Britain’s most vibrant cultural cities. The centre features outstanding Victorian architecture and houses over 20 galleries and museums, several boasting world-class collections, and many graced by the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Performing arts venues stage the best acts outside London, with shops (Merchant Square, Buchanan Street, Barras Market) and restaurants to match.
