Hotels in Glattbrugg, Zurich

Not recommended: The Moevenpick Zurich Airport Hotel was very close to the airport, the room was clean and the building well maintained. It also wasn't terribly expensive. It was, however, a long way from anything to eat other than at the hotel. We got in late and the only thing we could eat at the hotel was chicken wings, a ham and cheese sandwich and fries. For this we paid 19 Euro (about $28 US) for the sandwich and 24 Euro (about $33 US) for the chicken wings. We were later told that Switzerland is very expensive to dine out. These examples were nothing, however, in comparison to the 33 Euro per person breakfast buffet... if you stay there just know that anything you eat will be very pricey! Recommended: Zurich was epic! Rennasiance was reallly nice too. Five star hotel...bit expensive on the bar and the asian buffet, but it's okay. The facilities are awesome and it's a GREAT location. Only fifteen minutes by tram to the city center. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: Hotel was ok, a 30 min tram ride to the main train station which is in the middle of the city. Tram tickets cost 12.40 francs for day. Probably could have gotten a hotel closer in without needing the tram for the cost of the hotel + the tram tickets. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: This hotel was just an overnight stay to fly out of zurich but was much surprised to arrive and find out it was a Hilton property. Staff was bilingual and friendly, room was 2-roomed, not 5-star but very clean and nice. See all reviews for this hotel
