Lovely B & B.Posted Jun 7, 2014
Love this B & B. So peaceful, you feel like you are in the wood with lush landscape & beautiful collection of trees. View at every windows in the main house. The architectural is resemblance to Frank Lloyd Wright. Breakfast is phenomenal. Will stay here every time I visit Sonoma.

Great Location for a getawayPosted May 30, 2014
We did not know what to expect. Sonoma and Napa have gotten so big and crowded. The village of Glen Ellen is tucked away off the main roads, and is a perfect weekend getaway. The Gaige House offers homemade breakfast, a nightly wine tasting, and a large comfortable room. The village has wonderful restaurants within walking distance as well as a nice market to pickup a picnic lunch. If you have time, enjoy a massage at the spa

The breakfast and wine tasting were well done.Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Breakfast, pool
Location: Well located near parks and wineries as well as Glen Ellen town center.
Overall the inn was 4 out of 5. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and nicely landscaped. The room was comfortable but the bathtub was hard to get out of and did not retain water or drain well when showering.

Nice hotel in country surroundingsPosted May 8, 2014
Pros: I liked the veranada overlooking the river and the wine and cheese evening
Cons: The bathrooms could do with a rethink to bring them into line with the wonderful bedrooms
Location: Wonderful location with a couple of good restaurants within walking distance
Lovely hotel within the countryside and we were lucky to have a room with a veranda overlooking the river and forest. The breakfast was good and the staff were really friendly. The evening wine and cheese party was a fun way of meeting other guests and a good introduction to the wine valley. The only negative thing was the bathroom which was very basic in comparison to the luxurious bedroom, which was surprising for how they had described it on the website. However, the room was lovely.

Zen HoneymoonPosted Apr 26, 2014
Cons: Only thing that would have made it better was more comfy mattresses. They could use an upgrade.
Location: D'lish sandwiches at the market to take for a picnic or enjoy in the room. We had a lovely dinner at the Star.
We loved everything about the Gaige House, from the drive up to Glen Ellen to the amazing breakfasts. Gary greeted us and helped us to our room - he was so friendly and helpful. our room was spectacular and we liked the outdoor space that was part of our suite. enjoyed the movie library, the pool and hot tub, the cookies, the coffee, the egg dishes....everything.

LovelyPosted Apr 23, 2014
Cons: Why is there a room next to the pool? The guy talked on his cell so loud, and so long it was annoying all the guests at the pool.
Exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was great! Love the wine and cheese hour. The tub in the room was really cool.

Relaxing, Peaceful RetreatPosted Apr 10, 2014
We arrived fairly late, 8:30pm - check in closes at 9pm (anyone checking in after 9pm needs to call ahead to arrange for their key to be left in a lockbox). There was an older gentleman behind the desk when we arrived who seemed genuinely happy to see us! He took us on a tour of the main house so we would know exactly where to go for breakfast, "Wine Hour" etc. He stopped in the hall so we could get some homemade cookies/pasties to go with the Port he poured us. He gave us flashlights in case we wanted to check out the pool or go for a stroll through town - there aren't street lights. He told us that on Saturday they were having a vineyard rep come in for a wine and cheese tasting and that we would really enjoy that. He walked us to our room/cottage (a 1min walk from main house). The room was large, unique and relaxing. Huge bathroom with double headed shower and large soaking tub. We had a private backyard with lounge chairs plus an outside area between the bathroom/bedroom with a fountain. The complimentary hot breakfast was amazing each morning and the drive into St. Helena was beautiful (about 25 min). Everyone was very nice and even though we've only been back home for 2 days, we're already looking at the website to see which room we want to stay in next time! I can't find one thing that I didn't love about this place (and ask my wife, that's hard to do!) and I absolutely recommend it, especially for couples looking for a romantic getaway to wine country.
