Under renovation

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Convenience to attractions and activities.
Cons: Elevator service and breakfast buffet.
Location: Glenwood Springs is full of good family activities such as the hot springs pool, hiking, rafting, and other outdoor activities.
We were disappointed in the hotel as it is undergoing renovation. Only one elevator worked and was very slow. The complementary breakfast was mediocre at best. The room we stayed in was clean and functional but nothing special. I think it will be a decent hotel once renovation is completed. The price was right.

Pros: Location
Cons: Lighting in the breakfast area and upgrade the food.
Location: Lots to do, Glenwood Springs has hot springs and good restaurants.
Hotel is under renovation, probably will ne nice when finished, needs it bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was disappointing, dry eggs, dry biscuits and gravy that tasted like paste. Room was comfortable and quiet. Would tend to recommend after the renovation is complete.

Just fine for the price.

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The proximity to the Hot Springs and other activities was great.
Cons: The cleanliness of the hallways and lobby were less than wonderful. The carpets looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in quite a while.
Location: Tons to do in Glenwood Springs both summer and winter. It's a wonderful destination. Hot Springs, rafting, biking and tubing were available close by.
One elevator of two was down and being worked on with the screeching repair machines super loud in the lobby and throughout the motel. The elevator at the other end of the hall was inconvenient and the slowest elevator I've ever experienced. With only three floors and a lower level, it took over two minutes to arrive every time it was called. The room and bed were clean and nice.

There was no blanket to use instead of the comforter already on the bed. there was no ironing board and when I called the front desk, the woman said they would send one up, but they never did.

renovation city

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Breakfast, rooms were clean and well stocked.
Cons: see above
Location: The location was great. We were close to the hot springs pool and Glenwood adventure park.
The hotel is under alot of renovations and was messy. I understand this stuff needs to be done but the supplies and equipment were all over the place. We did enjoy the breakfast, full hot meal. The hotel was very full and had a wedding reception so there was no parking. Had to park next door at the Village Inn all night. Their stairwells and carpeting were needing serious help. The room was clean and well stocked.

Price is right, but get what you pay for

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: proximity to pool,
Cons: clean and fix it up.....the front elevator has been out of order for years
Location: can walk to anywhere you want to go from this location
rooms are very old and they have been remodeling them for years....with that said, they were clean. not nearly enough parking so if you come into the lot after seven, you have to park out back in a beat up dimly lit scary parking lot. one or two regulars hang out at bar to play pool and have music blasting all the way through the hotel lobby.....it is a convenient location, but amenities are poor at best. world class exercise facility next door has no treadmills???

Good free breakfast but that's it

Posted Jul 10, 2014
The hotel says it is undergoing renovations- let's hope so! Not very clean, holes in the wall in the room, peeling wallpaper, bring flip flops or your feet will be filthy. Free WiFi is a joke, you can never get on, says it's over capacity all evening. Indoor pool about 10 feet by 5 feet- holds about 10 kids if no one moves. One elevator working for whole complex. The only thing going for it was free breakfast which was plentiful and of decent quality.

Breakfast was good. The hotel pool and hot tub are extremely small and not well maintained. We did not have hot water when we checked in and it was not fixed until after 10pm. The ice machines were not working on our floor or the one below. The elevator was not working. The room needs some serious updates and the matress was as hard as a rock.

No until renovation is done

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Place was chaotic being 4th, going through renovation and the pump went out not having hot water. Staff handled well but would wait until renovation is done before going back.
