Booked this as a stop-over - the hotel was excellent - it had a lot of character - I stay in the Langdon - a big room and very peaceful. Got loads of work done, with fresh filter coffee & tea - must not forget the bowl of fruit in the room. - Had a excellent meal = fresh and better than most restaurant - would certainly recommend the hotel. staff was friendly & helpful.

Nice Hotel but feels a bit tired

Posted Nov 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the room was a good size and bed comfy enough, small tv that had signal issues, ensuite shower pressure was minimal, food was reasonable. the hotel interior is dated but charming but could have been cleaner, some dusty bits let it down which were not helped by the age and style of some of the fittings. the location is nicely out of the way (if that's what you want) overall a decent couple of nights stay and would consider staying there again.

This hotel has all the positive extra care of an owner run establishment.. Our 3rd stay and hopefully many more in future. Excellent.

A perfect night away

Friendly welcome, comfortable room with lovely touches (fresh fruit, real milk, leaf tea, homemade biscuits), fantastic food. Service at dinner & Sunday breakfast not rushed, but relaxed & friendly, despite the hotel being really busy (there was a wedding on). A perfect night away

A lovely, classic English country hotel in a peaceful setting in an idyllic part of the country - an area where I had never been before. The hotel staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive. I arrived too late for dinner but the staff ensured there were some sandwiches in the fridge in my room. The value for money was superb -a four poster bed too. There were some very thoughtful touches in the room - hand made biscuits, real milk in the fridge - everything that I needed for my stay. It's rare to find a level of quality that runs right through a hotel but I found it here.

The Hotel at Corse was in a very lovely setting.

We had a lovely time at The Corse House Hotel. The accomodation was very good. The food and the service that we received in the Bistro and the Restaurant was excellent. We would definitely reccomend staying here to anyone.

Wonderful stay

Pros: Nice a quiet hotel with large rooms
Cons: Chicken liver parfait, was tastless
Location: remote enough to be pieceful but not too far from main towns
Wonderful 2 day midweek stay. Staff very friendly and accomodating rooms were very spacious, and food if though a bit on the pricey side, was very tasty. Not too far from Tewkesbury and Forsest of Dean. Lovely stay thank you

Lovely rural hotel

Posted Jan 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had a beautiful room with four-poster bed, and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Dinner (not in the main restaurant as that was booked for a private party)was lovely - simple but very well cooked - and tremendous value. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

a little difficult to get to but when we arrived were pleasantly surprised by the setting.....very pretty hotel with nice grounds and a pond with ample seating around. However the interior of the hotel was a little jaded and is in need of refurbishment. Staff very pleasant.....good service......dinner very nice but a little overpriced......very nice breakfast.
