Kleines Hotel mit eigenem Charme

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Leider trafen wir niemanden an, weder andere Gäste noch den Betreiber. Das Zimmer war recht klein, es waren aber alle ausgewiesenen Dinge vorhanden. Das Frühstück muss man selbst zubereiten.

Not at all satisfied

Posted Sep 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
In my notes I took on the trip, I wrote "What a dump!" There was no one on the premises to let us into the building. The owner had to drive from somewhere to let us in. Breakfast in the morning was only cold cereal, yogurt or toast in the dining room in the basement. I don't believe there was any management on premises during the night in case of an emergency. If you wanted a hot breakfast, there was a charge per person of 19.95 pounds. How they have the nerve to charge 56 pounds for the room is beyond me. It reminded my husband of East Germany in the 60s. The location of this place was on a not so nice street. I really didn't feel safe there. The shower seemed to be a former closet with only a shower curtain separating it from the bedroom.

Do it yourself experience

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Breakfast food
Location: Was central although we were not there long enough to investigate
We didn't see anyone as we let ourself in through 2 doors with instructions in an envelope pinned to the doors with security codes. Breakfast we did ourselves from what was there, not appetising!! Tesco's everyday basic range, cheap white bread, yoghurt, juice..the "fruit" was only 2 yellow apples! No coffee machine or real coffee.

great budget friendly with parking near city centr

Posted Nov 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Over all a great budget place to stay near the centre. The parking garage is plenty big and was capable of fitting my large van 21ft long and 6 ft wide! The staff was friendly. The room itself was small, but for the price i cannot complain at all. The room was a bit noisy, but nothing a set of earplugs couldnt solve. I would easily recommend for a budget place to stay in birmingham.

Decent for a one night stay

Posted Jun 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel itself was pretty nice. The location easy to reach from the railway station on foot. There's no staff on the premises, but that wasn't a problem for us. Room was nice and big. The only huge downside for me was that the shower was pretty bad. There was hardly any water coming out of the shower and what did come out was either ice cold or way too hot. All in all, a pretty decent place for a one night stay.

Centre Lodge Guest House Gloucester England

Posted Aug 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
On arrival nobody in attendance at the house and never saw any staff at all during our visit. Envelope stuck to front door with our name on it with instructions as to the security code to get into the house and keys to the room in a secure box with the security code in the envelope. Very ryn down part of the town and would not have chosen this place had \i known that.Surrounding Streets very dirty. Very amatuerish repairs to the bathroom shower tiles.

Centre Lodge Guest House - one to avoid

Posted Apr 14, 2011 on Hotels.com
I would not recommend this hotel. There aren't actually any staff within the guest house, instead customers fend for themselves. This includes during breakfast - you have to go outside and into the basement to get your breakfast. When the information for the guest house says 'full breakfast included' this is extremely misleading as it means a continental breakfast, not full english. I booked a double en suite and the double bed came with two single duvets, and the bed was extremely hard and uncmfortable. The toilet and shower are separated by ill-fitting doors from the rest of the bedroom - not very nice. The general area is also quite unpleasant.
