Great inn if you have a car.Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: The hotel and spa are gorgeous.
Cons: The staff was not terribly helpful in making suggestions about things to do.
Location: Near many historic sites in the Cotswolds by car. Consider visiting Sudeley Castle and Tewksbury Abbey. Both are located in quaint locations.
We came to this lovely inn by train and taxi from London. Once there we had to walk or hire a taxi to get around. Most local attractions are too far away to walk to. The facility is beautiful.

The "Downton Abby" experiencePosted May 12, 2015
Staying at this historical and elegant property was like being a guest in someone's private country house. Service is personal and professional and the property has been tastefully modernised to ensure all 21st century comforts. We had the opportunity to try the "casual" dining restaurant and went back twice as the food was so good. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return.

A break in the countryside..............Posted Apr 28, 2015
I used to stay here when it was the the De La Bere hotel and wow what a transformation. I thought I loved it back then but it had gone up quite a few notches since. An absolutely wonderful restoration coupled with tastefully applied modern features has created a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. Thank you to the genuinely polite, attentive staff in all areas of the hotel.

This was a birthday surprise for my partner,we like good quality hotels and the Ellenborough will be one of favourites. We were fortunate to have a room upgrade close to the swimming pool ,which was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful ,and the Brassiere was very enjoyable and reasonably priced.,will definitely go again.

Nice hotel with very welcoming & helpful staff.Posted Apr 20, 2015
Would rate very Highly in ambiance and quality of staff. Chose the Ellenborough hotel because we wanted to spend our wedding anniversary in a relaxed way and we got just that. With the picturesque surroundings and our room being upgraded, we could not have asked for more. Thank you to all at Ellenbotough.

Relaxing and enjoyable stayPosted Apr 3, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed one night to celebrate a birthday and didn't want to have to travel too far. I told the hotel it was a special occasion and they left a bottle of bubbly in our room. We enjoyed our stay very much and wish now we had stayed longer!

2nd wedding anniversaryPosted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: We loved the food, great service, lovely ambience. Sat by the fire sipping an aged whisky in the evening, after enjoying a long day and a great Sunday
Cons: first world problems!
Location: popped into Cheltenham and ate at Raymond blancs place, liked the lunch at our hotel more. If I'm honest.
We loved the food, great service, lovely ambience. Sat by the fire sipping an aged whisky in the evening, after enjoying a long day and a great Sunday lunch in the fine dining room. Had a cheeky jacuzzi earlier in the day, and had a quick nap in the lovely big bed with soft feather pillows. Wife enjoyed it, some time away from the kids, peace and quiet. Fabulous.
