Ideal for Cotswold Visit

Pros: Rate and location
Cons: None
Hilden house is well positioned and well priced for tourists wishing to visit villages in Cotswold. It is close to restaurants and within walking distance from many bus routes.

Perfect for a single overnight stay in Cheltenham.

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: Convenient location and warm welcome.
Cons: Very little at the value, which was excellent.
Location: A small step to the centre of town, so perfect for the theatre, which was the reason for my visit.
Made to feel very welcome, perfectly nice room (with unnecessarily generous upgrade), and a very nice breakfast. Lovely for a short stay.

Nice B & B, Poor Room

Posted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Location and original features
Cons: Get rid of the bathroom and give Room 4 more space
Location: Next to town centre with lots of great shops in a delightful setting. Walks in the nearby parks after a night out in the in town
Nice town house within 5 minute walk of Cheltenham town centre, next to the lovely Pittville Park and pleasant owners. Nothing wrong with the house or breakfast but the room layout was very cramped. We had booked a superior room but there was not a lot of space. Superior to me means space and character. The most bizarre aspect of the room was the 'big box' in the corner of the room which protruded into our room. This was our en suite bathroom with shower. It was also the next door room's too so we heard their shower and toilet in the morning. There was very little room in the bathroom with a small basin and toilet jammed into the corner. Shower has a poor flow and no chance for you to dry yourself in the bathroom. Sadly our room let us down otherwise all would have been great.

Friendly hosts, great location, comfortable room

This hotel was good value for money and in a great location for the centre of Cheltenham. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable with good bathroom facilities and the breakfast was very nice with a lot of choice.

We stayed in the best room and it was the best room we've stayed in anywhere. Really lovely. Good location, within walking distance from nice restaurants. Really warm welcome from the staff. Top people. Would love to stay again. Recommended.

Quality B&B

Posted Oct 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
This top quality, elegant hotel is reminiscent of a bygone era with its regency stripes and crystal chandeliers but provides every modern convenience (including free wi-if) and outstanding friendly service. My room being a single was small but beautifully appointed and was really quiet, allowing for a very good night's rest. Breakfast was individually cooked to taste and delicious! I hope to stay again soon.

Nice B&B, beautiful building, very close to town

Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Beautfiul building, owners and great location for Cheltenham.
Cons: Make room 10 for one person. Too small for 2 people.
Location: Loads to do in Cheltenham. We used this as a stop over for The Prescott Hill Climb - amazing! Best to book if you want to eat out.
Lovely Shelly and Aidan made our stay :-) the room was a little small including the bed but we only stayed 1 night so that was ok. The courtyard rooms suffer noise from other people staying and room 10 backs onto the road between houses which is used as a cut through by pedestrians so was noisey at night from passers by. There is a mosque near by too which started at 7am with music and banging of instruments or something! not that we were asleep, the room was hot and the bed small. I'd recommend this to people if you have a short stay and ask not to be in the courtyard rooms.

Conveniently located close to the centre of Cheltenham. Room pleasant, good bathroom, but floor not cleaned properly. Very good breakfast.
