“A Liitle Way To Go To Get a 5 Star Rating”

Location - We liked this Hotel as it is within comfortable walking distance of the town centre in a business district that was nice and quiet over the weekend so were able to leave the car in the car park (limited but I did notice that there was free street parking outside) and more importantly not get woken at 7am by rush hour traffic Hotel/rooms - the hotel has plenty of character and the room had a bathroom as big as the bedroom and what I did like was fresh milk in the mini-bar for the complimentary tea and coffee and ground coffee instead of the instant sachets! Food/Wine - the bar lounge service was patchy - good one night indifferent the next - waitress talking to the bar man with their back to the lounge where thre is waiting guests does not impress. The food in the restraunt was very good and reasonably priced - our only criticism being that there are too many tables for the space to the extent that it is a bit like sitting in a cafeteria - not conducive to enticing customers to spend £££ on the extensive wine list that could have done with some wider choice at the lower end of the price list
