DissapointedPosted Oct 19, 2014
Cons: Staff inside
Location: Too far
Tv wasn't signal, spoke with manager and moved us to next room, but the same situation, next morning we couldn't have the continental breakfast as kettle, toaster or microwave not working. Have to take my 10 year old out for breakfast.

A Good Budget OptionPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Location, nice room, ease of use.
Location: Taxi to railway station was £7.20, to main part of town £7, but easy to come and go anyway and Cheltenham is a great place.
I was a little surprised by previous negative comments now that I have visited this hotel. This is a budget option but had everything we would need. Room was clean and a good size, fridge was well stocked with food for breakfast (this is budget price supermarket range, but again, budget option, so fine). Location was nice, a short taxi ride only and especially nice was an email, right after booking with all the details about how to get to the room and a list of codes for doors, so there was no time expended checking in and waiting to check out. Email from hotel owner answering some of my locale questions were also very helpful. Staying there right at festival time was a real Godsend and we were perfectly happy with the conditions and would indeed be happy to stay again.

Cheap and convenientPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Continental breakfast in room was very convenient as I was leaving early.
Cons: Bedside light could not be plugged in as it was out of range of the sockets!
Location: Close to city centre and various tourist attractions
OK, I was looking for cheaper accommodation and was pleasantly surprised by this one.

Ideal locationPosted Sep 15, 2014
Great location to town, lovely area, parking. Room satisfactory. Wide range of breakfast items. Clean and comfortable, good price. Not luxurious but didn't pay 5* price. Would use again.

A nice little place near the town centre.Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: The room had free WiFi (password in room), a toaster, and a fridge containing a loaf of bread, cheese, marmalade, jam, yoghurt and cartons of milk.
Location: In a quiet residential area near Pittville Park, 10 minutes walk from the town centre and maybe 15 minutes from the racecourse.
It was a nice old building a few minutes walk from the High Street near Pittville Park. The entrances to the hotel, as well as the rooms, had keypads on them so you didn't need to think about remembering your room key. Also, I felt perfectly safe even though I was travelling alone. The building is very homely and you feel welcome straight away. Don't expect a high end hotel but for what you pay this is a little gem and well placed for the town centre. The garden at the back was lovely as well. The place has got character rather than being modernised and losing its charm. The room was comfy and cosy too. I'd definitely stay there again.

Good value for money. Ticked all the boxes for our stay. Comfortable if dated. Thought the code entries could be a problem but not at all. Parking proved a bit tricky though.

OK but old fashioned.Posted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
In need of an upgrade but clean enough - if you have to comment on cleanliness, you get a sense of the type of hotel. More like a B&B that's past it.

Old fashioned hotel very close to the centrePosted May 4, 2014
Pros: The location; the breakfast.
Cons: I tried unsuccessfully to ring several times before arriving but there was no reply. A recorded message would be helpful.
Location: Location is excellent. Cheltenham has wonderful shopping and we were there for the Jazz Festival which is always brilliant
The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The accommodation is adequately comfortable and just a ten minute walk to the centre of Cheltenham.

good for pricePosted Feb 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had no problems staying at this hotel. Great location just a 10 minute walk from town center. Its located in a quiet street, no outside noise. The decor is a little dated but the room was clean and suitable for my needs. Manager was a very helpful guy. Would be more than happy to stay again.
