Good base for the Cotswolds

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Lovely restaurant and welcoming staff. The bed was comfortable which is most important. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The toaster in the breakfast room only toasted 1 side. The towels were not as one would expect.
Location: Located within easy striking distance of both Gloucester and Chletenham, it was also well place for visiting the cotswold towns and villages.
Arrived to an efficient and welcoming front desk. We stayed 4 nights and ate in the hotel 3 evenings.

Great position for the Cotswolds. Very nice.

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Modern. Clean. Attractive. Very good position for touring.
Cons: More flexibility in bedding. Was absolutely boiling despite having windows open.
Location: Location is fab. Also Toby Carvery win easy walking distance if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Lots of wonderful Cotswold villages nearby.
The hotel was very good. A lot of conference people in it but individuals were still important to them. Bus stops outside going both to Cheltenham and Gloucester. We were there for three nights but only had bed and breakfast. Food was good but service at breakfast varied, on one morning very slow to clear tables but on others very quick. Reception staff very helpful. Bed comfortable but I do wish hotels wouldn't give you winter weight duvets in the summer. A lower tog with a couple of blankets would be more flexible. Room fine though and very good tv. Didn't use the spa but looked good.

Convenient and comfortable Hotel for Cotswolds

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: The breakfast - especially the honey - made on site! The spa is high quality - but a little busy at times
Cons: The reception staff were a little snooty. Our fridge was not working, when we complained, she was pretty icy towards us throughout our stay!
A quality hotel over all with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast

Good facilities, excellent staff, comfortable.

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Staff, facilities, food.
Cons: Door noise during night, why don't hotels use near-silent doors?
Location: Cheltenham and surroundings very pleasant, Glou nearby, lots of views, walks and things to do in nearby town.
Very welcoming staff, facilities good, warm pool and other facilities, rooms very comfortable, plenty of free parking. Food good, some dishes expensive, but wide choice. Breakfast very good. Somewhat noisy at night due to large number of younger guests, maybe on a course, but think this was unusual, and normally likely to be quiet.

Good Hotel, Awful Restaurant

Pros: Pool.
Cons: Restaurant service
Hotel is comfortable, good size rooms and good amenities. Service in the restaurant is slow, staff rude and forgetful.
