“Perfect place for a quiet weekend”
I was a bit nervous about going here as I thought it would be a posh golfing hotel. Not at all! Friendly, comfortable and classically modern, the place made us feel very welcome and relaxed. The restaurant serves good food and breakfast (included in the room price) was excellent. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive and the surroundings are lovely. The hotel sits in the middle of a common which serves both for grazing cattle and as a quirky golf course - a very unusual, attractive and quiet setting. The room was nicely decorated (not at all twee, as some country hotels are) and a nice size (we stayed in a superior double). I would definitely go there again.

What a wonderful place! Very friendly, accommodating, fab room, lovely surroundings.Breakfast simply delicious. Top marks, definitley go there again!

“Beautiful Hotel”
Lovely hotel, the food was fantastic and the wine even better! The room was decent and the bed was very comfortable. The staff couldnt have been more helpful. I do recommend this hotel for couples!
“Small size Double Dedroom.”
Size of double bedroom was minimum possible, so that it was difficult to walk around the bed, or even to open the door without moving furniture. Would be acceptable as a single room!
“A bit of old England in a great location”
Original building is mediaeval. Beautiful setting on Minchinhampton Common. Bar and restaurant great, as was breakfast. Hotel room was a bit small and furniture somewhat utilitarian. Attention to detail missing eg electric plug by bed was inaccesible because of headboard. But clean, with crisp white sheets.
“Location Very Good”
Hotel from the oustside needs a lick of paint, but inside is very good, Bar and restaurant very good, and breakfast excellent, only problem was the bed in the room was very low and very hard, also shower was cold. other than that good value.
“most relaxing hotel ever visited”
For the quietest, tranquil and picturesque hotel, book yourself a room here. Only 6 to choose from,old beams and low ceilings add to the ambience. Superb food and attentive service. A fantastic country setting, look out for the free roaming cattle.
