We loved the staff and the character of the Porch House. The building wraps itself around you and feels very old and welcoming. We were sad not to encounter the ghost that some people have encountered in our room! The bed was comfy and the pillows a delight. We would come back again and next time hope to see the ghost!

Travelling through the Cotswolds.
Only a one night stay but stay was great. From check in staff, bar and restaurant staff and the cleaners we met when we arrived and departed were all great, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is excellent for a real taste of the Cotswolds and our meal in the restaurant in the evening, and breakfast in the morning were great also.

Just perfect!
Excellent!!! Loved our adorable room, the delicious food, and the helpful staff. It was perfect and a must stay!!! Recommend to everyone wanting a quintessential old English experience!! We would go again and recommend to anyone.

What a charming inn! We loved our stay at the Porch House. Though the original charm is intact, the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, though small, was updated. We enjoyed the very convenient location to sites in Stow-on-the-Wold, the lovely pub and restaurant and the hospitality of all of the staff. There is a lot of interesting history at the Porch House. As a bonus, we arrived late and were allowed to stay in our temporary parking spot for the night. We were the last guest to check in and other available parking was scarce. That was very kind and very appreciated.

Lovely cosy hotel
Room ridiculously small for the price. We were supposed to be in a comfort room but were actually in the tiny Snug room.Also noisy at the front of the hotel with poorly closing non double glazed windows.

Really disappointed, ceiling coming off above shower, black mould in the shower. Kettle had yellow liquid in. room had no air conditioning and the window had a lock restricting opening, so room redicoulously hot. Didn't sleep at all. Got up at 6am and left. Restaurant all deserts came with ice cream but they had non. Had to complain about my drink. Awful. Shame the hotel around the corner was full

Wonderful historical inn!!
Fabulous place! Beautiful room and terrific food. We will go back! The only thing to be aware of is parking is either street parking or a long stay a few minutes walk away.

What a lovely little inn! We really enjoyed staying here. Our room was decorated nicely and the inn is located conveniently in the heart of Stow. The staff were exceptional! The restaurant was excellent and there are lots of areas to enjoy a pint from the bar. Highly recommend this inn!

Couple day in Stow with friends
A very nice Inn with rooms situated almost in the centre of Stow. The rooms are well appointed, clean but we stayed in a classic room which was small!! It have everything you needed and well looked after but there is little floor space and the shower room isn also small. Also be aware that the reception closes late evening and does not open until past 8am. As we had to leave early to get back to London we had to ask the hotel to charge our card and send us the bill. We would certainly stay here again but pay for a larger room. Friendly staff.

We will be back again!
Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The tea and coffee facilities were great. A proper coffee machine makes a huge difference to coffee drinkers. The Temple Spa gift pack and accessories in the room were an added bonus. Their products are fantastic and not cheap (as its only sold in Harrods) so much appreciated. Thank you. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. It came across that they ALL really like working there and couldn't do enough for us. No wifi access in our room which was disappointing despite being told there should be. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was delicious as was the wine. The cooked breakfast was great. We will definitely come back again. If the wifi could be sorted by then that would be enhance what was a near perfect stay.

Room we were given was not as described when we booked it through Hotels.com we were charged twice so are now waiting for a refund. Pub is lovely ancient inn, unfortunately as said room we were given was smaller than we’d booked with no bath and walls seemed to be wet/damp where bed was located.

The hotel itself is a lovely place. But! When we checked in, we was Informed by the receptionist we had breakfast included. Therefore myself and my partner indulged into the “breakfast” we thought was included. When we was checking out, we knew we had a few outstanding drinks we put on the tab. What we did not expect was to be whacked with a bill of just over £60 covering breakfast too. Had we not been told breakfast was included we would have likely had breakfast elsewhere. Hotel staff did nothing to try and rectify the issue save for apologise.

Lovely hotel, great location, great staff, food was good. Bed was a little soft for me, especially when teamed with very soft feather pillows, not much support going on. Also we had a room at the front of the hotel so it was a little noisy, request a room at the back if you can
