Nice accommodation, good locationPosted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good location, good breakfast
Cons: Get a door on the toilet!!
Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, the bar and restaurant was very nice serving good local produce and the breakfast was excellent. Rooms were done to a high standard, though our room was very hot and a little claustrophobic, the only windows you could open were in the roof, but it was raining and the rain came in falling onto the TV, I'm surprised this hasn't been picked up yet? But the main issue with this room is that the toilet has NO DOOR! so your basically sitting on the toilet looking into the sitting area, not exactly what you want for a romantic break! (unless your into that).

An excellent stayPosted Aug 12, 2014
Cons: More info about the type of breakfasts available on different days of the week . There was nothing on the Expedia website.
Location: Ideal location for Nailsworth itself, & so many places to visit all around.
Every comfort & convenience. A lovely view of the old market square from our room - Shortlands. Very friendly, pleasant & obliging staff. Delicious breakfasts, both the cooked & continental ones.

Great Weekend BreakPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very comfortable room (Chestnut) with good selection of teas; quite hot in room though when we arrived at the end of a sunny day. Food in restaurant excellent. Overall very pleasant stay and would recommend it.

More than just a restaurant with rooms!Posted Aug 8, 2013
What a find, looking for somewhere to stay whilst attending the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe. Well appointed room with all the modern conveniences we have come to expect, but the best part was the restaurant. Attentive service, spoilt for choice from the a la carte menu, would need to fast for the day before going for the six course taster but very tempting. All courses were well seasoned, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. In all a wonderful dining experience. Breakfast was so good that lunch was completely unnecessary. We would recommend this as a perfect place to stay.

Breakfast is the highlightPosted Feb 9, 2013
Cons: Slight disadvantage that there is no easy parking.
Location: In the centre of Nailsworth, making walking round the exceptional range of shops easy to do.
A real treat to stay in their newly refurbished rooms Comfortable bed, nice amenities, and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant and rooms are above each other, but require you to go round the block to get there. Only bad weather would be an issue, but still worth the effort. Breakfast was one of the nicest that I have had for a while, and well worth having.
