Great Country SettingPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Two full baths in the room, frosted glass double door room dividers for a little privacy without being separated from the kids.
Cons: More dining choices would be a great addition, but the Cardinal dining room is great.
Location: Surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains, Burr Oak State Park Lodge overlooks Burr Oak Lake it is a Great place for any outdoor enthusiast.
This is a great hotel in a great location, The Staff was courteous and helpful with all our needs.

Great Family ReunionPosted May 6, 2014
We stayed in a cottage with several cottages around us. The cottage itself was equipped as we were told. There was a slight water problem when we first checked in but it was corrected immediately. We stayed there as the closest location to OU for graduation we could find. But I'm glad it worked out that way as there were other OU families there celebrating (but not too much). Only about 1/2 hour from OU and many things to do while there. We took several walks, cooked out on their grill, used the dining room, etc. We only wished we would have had time for golf!

Had a great weekend away!Posted Apr 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
I booked a trip to Burr Oak lodge as a surprise getaway for my wife. We stayed in one of the pet friendly cottages and were very pleased with our stay. There isn't much to do besides hike a couple of the trails but since we were only there for one full day, it worked out great. It was just a relaxing getaway for the weekend. Don't expect the Burr Oak area to be anything like Hocking Hills. There aren't any shops or zip lining tours and the hiking trails aren't nearly as scenic, but we still enjoyed ourselves! It was also nice to be able to bring our dog along.

Great location on a beautiful lake. Rooms are nice although lacking in chairs or couches.
