Won't return/recommend, poor conditions, bad food.

Pros: Dining room looks out on the lake and scenery is beautiful but bad overpriced food. Hotel needs MAJOR updating. Customer service training too!
Cons: Remodel, hire cooks & more staff, NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE RECOVERY TRAINING.
Location: Boating, fishing, hiking, pool, childrens playground, putt putt course, outdoor shelters for picnic.
Room was not what we expected - the "outdoor access" was - our room was by back door. Tiny, low ceilings. I went to throw my towel up on the shower curtain rod & cracked my hands on ceiling! We stayed on the lower level (think refinished basement). Bathroom so small you have to stand on toilet to shut door. Water control handle in shower came off in my hand when I tried to turn it on. AC/Heater unit starting SCREECHING when we turning it on. Had to shut it off because we couldn't hear TV or sleep. Bed was comfortable. Staff or guests went outside for smoke breaks (we were in room by outdoor access) and their cigarette smoke drifted into our windows/room. Dining room/bar is pretty and windows offer beautiful views of the lake. Food is way overpriced and not good. Example: Breakfast - eggs cooked wrong (undercooked and runny), potatoes weren't just fried they were deep fried - hard as rocks, shattered. Bacon limp. Pancakes tasted worse than institutional ones! Bland. Wrong and missing items for all of us at table. Slow service. Waitress was nice and kept apologizing for things but she didn't know the menu, couldn't answer questions about the food - I thinik she was brand new PLUS they were way understaffed and kitchen obviously didn't know what they were doing. We checked out the cabins and they are basic shacks packed close together - you'd be able to hear everyones conversation if the windows were open so no thank you. We won't go back & are telling everyone
