“Best Hotel I have ever stayed”

Best Hotel I have ever stayed so far. The Services, Food, Staff all are amazing. Services are quick. Food in the restaurant is delicious. Staff is very friendly always there to help you 24/7. Rooms are Spacious clean Hygienic & The ambiance of the rooms are amazing. Must say to all All those who are traveling to Goa must stay here.

“Beautiful hotel inside and outside”

Our stay at Best Western Devasthali was one of our finest travel destinations because of the outstanding service and tranquil surroundings. We had astonishing food from the MJ’s fine dining restaurants with service that is very difficult to find. The hotel was well staffed to ensure the guests had timely and pleasing service. Beautiful hotel and views, clean and spacious rooms. All in all a perfect holiday retreat.

“Perfect to getaway for relaxation”

We stayed 7 days at Great Western Devasthali in a 2 bedrm family suite. The staff of this hotel were very helpful, friendly and clearly they enjoyed their work! Nothing was ever a problem. There was always a big happy face of all who worked there. You can see there is a lot of pride in the care and maintenance of the grounds. The restaurant had nice food and the chef did well to accommodate our request for gluten free food for our daughter. Some minor maintenance glitches in the room (leak in one bathroo) but this was rectified swiftly); satellite TV went on the blink for a few minutes each day and some short burst brown-outs, but this is India. The internet connection (free wi-fe) was very good. Houskeeping and Reception staff were friendly.. Big mention to Andrew (waiter), Romeo (maintenance) and Catherine (housekeeping) - always cheery and ever-ready to assist. There is a shuttle bus (free) to the nearest surf beach. The local bay is not good for swimming but can enjoy a peaceful stroll and can watch locals fishing. The pool on site is small but immaculate. There are plans to extend this hotel - would love to get back in a few years. The hotel is a little isolated but its not expensive to get about. A peaceful retreat. Not a lot on site for young children but our 'tweens' enjoyed the pool, pooltable and the surf beach.

“Review”

Rooms and service excellent but food was disappointing - rather bland. The nearby beach on the brochure is not a true representation - really misleading

“American Tourists”

Pros: Lovely rooms and views. Hotel has a shuttle that takes you to Bogmalo beach and to sights in Goa such as Anjuna and Old Goa. Cons: Hotel is far away from restaurants and shops and not walking distance from any good beaches. Also hotel only provides one water bottle per room per day so foreign tourist need to stock up

“Devasthali”

Pleasant experience. The hotel is nestled in the greens which makes it a unique experience. Although there is not much that you can do at the resort itself, the greenery around you sure does have a calming effect. The Hollant beach nearby is beautiful. The fine dining restaurant are good. The original room allocated had major draining issues but the reception promptly had it changed when we pointed it out.

“Perfect hotel if you want to be at near the airport and a peaceful stay at pool resort”

This is an ideal hotel if you want to be near the Airport and just have a restful peaceful stay by the small pool. No spa facility available though. Very remote and is 10 minutes walk to beach along a lush green countryside with a few residential houses. Very small sandy beach area with only one small drink restaurant - this is disappointing.The meals at MJ Fine Dinning Restaurant in the hotel is very extremely good, so opt for the all meals packages as the nearest town is Bogmalo and you have to take a taxi there for all your restaurants/activities. Wonderful ambience at MJ - good food and good local band which was only entertainment in the evening. The hotel also provide us with a courtesy shuttle to the Airport which we were very pleased. As our departure was in the morning, the staff went all the way to make us a cooked breakfast as the buffet breakfast was not ready until 8am. Staff are very friendly,polite and went the extra miles to make our stay a very enjoyable one. A truly 4 star hotel by Euroeapean standard with its 21st century state of art facilities.I definately recommend this hotel.

“My stay at the Best Western”

The location was near airport but not in a very nice placel The grounds were beautiful, the staff was nice. The Wifi did not work. The rooms were large and bed comfortable and clean. The only complaint I have about the room was the smell. It was a overwhelming mildew smell and with allergies to mildew it was about more than I could stand.

“exaggerated not close TO a Beach or a real RESORT”

It is out of the way from South or North Goa, it is not near a beach or any waterway, it is far from any place of interest other than the Airport. Food is very expensive but there is no alternative in the entire area, only a long walk or a taxi ride will take you to any shop or convenience store. The taxi they arrange are fair, however 80 kms, 1600 indian rupees go up as there is no meter, they will go up and down not knowing where they are headed, south then north then south, then they will give the bill stating additional kilometers, Night time additional 500/= and waiting time x amount. This is an overcharge, but there is no option. The hotel rooms are great, yet location and other required facilities for a resort, well far behind any resort, it is just a great guest room for a overnight stay with the convenience of the Airport.

“A very average hotel,”

The location is remote, they dont even have a secured car parking. Approach of staff towards the clients is casual. Very poor house keeping. Cant find anything to comment on this hotel except the price.
