Worst experience ever I personally recommend not to stay in this hotel instead sleep in the car if you have only option left , there’s nothing to be happy about smelly like rotten potatoes unhygienic everything including rooms pathetic!!

I'll go there again!
Loved every minute of the stay. It was just one night, but the service was wonderful, the room was clean and spacious and the food was excellent. One small point, i asked for a room with a bathtub, but didn't get one.

I arrived at around 2am, there was no one at the reception for my checking as the hotel manger on duty was asleep on the sofas, his colleagues tried to wake him and he told them to go away even though he seen me stood at the desk, then eventually he got up to check me in after some time. The pool was really dirt it looked like it was full of oil you could not see the bottom of the pool, room service food was always cold and of poor quality which often left me with an upset stomach. The lamp in my room was not working, the air conditioner was also not working for the first 4 days. There was no swim up bar in the pool as advertised, breakfast buffet room was too smokey to sit in. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it. I added my friend onto the booking and discussed this several times with Expedia who confirmed my friend had been accepted to the room booking by the hotel, however when myself and friend Reyes to enter the hotel she was told she was not allowed in, I explained to the manager that this hotel had confirmed that she was able to stay and had proof, despite showing several emails from the hotel and Expedia the manager refused to let her enter, this problem went on for around an hour and again I had to call Expedia and tomallow them both to discuss the problem I was having. Eventually the manager aloud my guest to stay, he was rude and really hard to reason with. Wifi reuquires a pass word at least every 7 hours so you have to go back and forth.

Its a ok hotel for the price . Not a good .
I had a very bad experience. The food was bad . They chef was stupid i asked him fried fish he gave me fish with lots of red mirchi powder in it. I don't know what he was thinking. The staff were stupid. The room was wrongly alotted to me i had to run here and there to get it rectified. Wrong property. Wrong price. Wrong place. Wrong food.

Worth to stay
This property is nice to stay with decent rooms and available services. Its in the heart of Calangute beach area,near to Baga and Candolim beachs as well. We reached on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi when whole Goa was on leave and busy in celebration, which affected the services of this hotel too.As they couldn't send airport pick up(as promised earlier) on the day of arrival, they have reimbursed the Airport taxi fare for the same. Break fast buffet was very sumptuous and filling. Except few service glitches,we got very satisfactory service by Neelam's The Grand.

I went to this awesome hotel with my lovely wife on a vacation. We both were thrilled with this hotel and the location where it is situated. Room was clean and nicely organized! I will definitely come and stay at this awesome hotel again!!

My "HOLI"-Day in Goa.
I planned my travel on Holi. Started from Pune early in morning and when I reached Goa it was all Hot and Humid and barely felt like doing anything. After checking-in and going through the lobby to my room by pool side..that small walk itself took almost half of my tiredness. Room was BIG, clean and cozy. Loved the beds :) Variety of food in menu, room service, resto-bar and Buffet breakfast are all very good. and top of all the locality, its soo close to Calangute beach and other tourists places that you never feel like "not" being able to plan and do something. Its like everything can be done. My thumbs up for the hotel and hotels.com for making this trip an unforgettable memory in my life.

Better than expected
This hotel was better than I expected for a hotel is India. The room was nice and well kept. The bathroom wasn't bad but could have used more cleaning and updating. They had live music every night I was there but sometimes it went a little too late and made it hard to sleep. The staff was great and willing to keep visitors happy and the breakfast was good too, they had a lot of variety. Overall the hotel was much better looking than the others I saw in the area and is width considering.

Think Once before you select this hotel.
The stay was all "ok" except for the room cleanliness. Room was not up to the mark at all. Don't know how the hotel is rated as 3 star. 1. Restroom and living rooms were having spiders web. 2. Toilet is having yellow stains. 3. Living room wall paint is all flaky. 4. Room was stinking bad. 5. No HD channels in the TV. Not even regular channels with good clarity. 6. Water from the taps is smelling rusty. 7. Malfunctioning of the split AC. Up on bringing the above to the managers notice, he was very arrogant and did not even care to resolve the issues. Later, his manager came up with some courtesy and listened to the concerns patiently. I was informed that the hotel will undergo renovation soon. But, I still, don't understand how the hotel was rated as 3 star.

Great Place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay in Neelam's The Grand from 3rd to 6th October'2014. Staff and hospitality were great and so was the complimentary breakfast.

Awesome stay.
I had a really comfortable stay here at neelam's the grand . Truly one of the best properties at calangute. I couldn't stop myself from extending my stay from 3 nights to 5 nights. Awesome buffet awesome pool. Awesome service. And awesome location. Nearby happening places and market.

Very bad experience
The hotel staff is non cooperative. There was a misunderstanding between expedia and the hotel because of which the airport shuttle had to be paid by me. Also the hotel staff is rude. Overall it was one of the worst experiences I ever had.

Nice Hotel with Good rooms!!
Pros: My review will be based on Neelam as a 3 Star hotel. It has good spacious rooms, all basic amenities in room are covered and rooms are well maintained, great cleanliness. We got a pool view room, which was always a plus when you sit in balcony sipping a coffee. Staff is really very good (Mr Shayam on reception), willing to help even if you checked out of hotel. We had Indian food, which has decent taste. Property is huge and right in market which is easily accessible to major locations!! So you don't need to worry about accessibility and safety!! Cons: No lifts in Block C (and i guess in two other blocks also), which is not great if you got a high floor. Its there in just 2 blocks. Quality of juices is not good. May be you can do better here!! A small 4-wheeler parking wrt this huge property. A little more lightning is surely required in pathways of each block. Take a clue from 4-5 star hotels and they can surely increase hotel amenities including next level upgrade of their dining area!!! Last, lot of mosquitoes in bathroom and there was no arrangement to counter that. I guess they make their way through vents!! Our experience was good again!! The courteous staff and a good room can make you stay a memorable one!!

Situated in very busy junction of Calangute; Staff not very friendly and lacked communication between themselves; It was agreed a the time of checkin that we can use their shuttle bus to airport on day of checkout, but when we started to put the bags in the bus, the staff wanted Rs.1500-; Iwent to request bit of salt and pepper in the dining area to spread on some sour friut, was told they will send it to the room though I agreed to wait for it there; it never arrived; after two hours when queried none of the staff had any answer why it was not delivered. Overall the service was louzy and lacked professionalism.

Mived to this hotel after booking another. The Grand is a superb hotel, we enjoyed our stay, and are hopefully going back in February. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to every need. We have already recomended this hitel to friends going to Goa next year.

Excellent Location To Enjoy GOA
POSITIVE POINTS: I would stay here again as simply for its location and price, its among the best. Welcome drink was a nice gesture and was refreshing. Manager at the hotel was very helpful in solving issues regarding the cancellation of one of our 2 rooms booked due to a fire accident at my friends home. I had stayed in the new building and the room was nice n comfortable. Live music was there which was a nice touch near the swimming pool & bar area. NEGATIVE POINTS: Breakfast was not good enough, specially when it came to variety so just had it once at the hotel out of my 4 days. Prefer to waste rest of my coupons. Room service was VERY SLOW specially when it came to asking for bathing and hand towels. They don't seem to understand hand towel and I had a hard time explaining the same to them saying that they want me to use bathing towel to dry my face and hands whenever I wash my hands and face in the washbasin.......

Reserve a room with pool view otherwise you will be very disappointed. More English speaking staff can make one's stay better. Could not understand why pool is not for use after 19h00...best time to swim. Friendly staff, good location. Good breakfast. Recommended.

Neelams Experience
Just came back from the Goa, Neelams hotel. Overall impression is still good, however the hotel did not leave up to the expectations. ROOM: I have booked CP club select superior deluxe room, which according to description was supposed to be a perfection, but it turned out to be just a very big room. Actually, all rooms at the hotel are CP club select superior deluxe as I figured, so do not expect any luxury there. Furniture is old, walls have stains, bed is very hard, bed lining is definitely not "premium". It is not bad hotel, just not the quality that you expect for that money. FOOD: Breakfast is not continental. Lots of indian stuff. If you want european food, they have quite good omlet and some pastry/jam only. Coffee is bad in the restaurant, but near reception desk there is a separate coffee stand where for 23 Rs you get very good espresso. POOL: pool of Neelams the Grand is very good, big & clean, but is in the shadow most of the day. STAFF: there is a lot of staff around, some are sensible, some are not. Overall, good service. BEACH: the road to the beach takes about 10-15 mins, but there is no road as such. You have to navigate between cars, bikes and cows and other crowd, not pleasant walk at all. Better to take a cab (100 Rs), at least you will feel safer. Calangute beach has a lot of shacks where you get sunbed and towels and service from the bar. Loved to go there at night, they put chairs on the beach front, light the candles and serve food and drinks. Very romantic! Baga beach nearby offers plenty of nightlife experiences. NEELAMS THE GLITZ: next to Neelams the Grand there is a new built hotel Neelams the Glitz. This facility is new, has excellent pool, that is on the 2nd floor terrace and always sunny. You can use that facility if you stay at the Grand, but if going again, I would definitely prefer to stay at the Glitz! The restaurant offers good selection of seafood, though had bad experience ordering fish and crabs once. Good dinner for one costs about 800 Rs there.

We stayed at the hotel in august. We find the hotel excellent and real value for money. Though pool isa bit small but it was clean and we enjoyed the pool a lot. We have been given pool facing GF room which was very spacious though we missed room refrigerator. In comparision to the size of room, bath room was bit small in size but was clean and neat.

neelam's the grand - what a amazing stay
we booked a standard ac suite, but when we arrived there was a large group already there so they were out of standard suites, so they upgraded me to their superior suite. what a room it was. king size bed, big size lcd tv, a/c, electric kettle and the regulars of course. me and wifey were ecstatic. our breakfast was included in the package. they have a limited variety in breakfast, but the food was good. the best is the live egg/omlette counter. the only soggy spot was that their pool side bar was under maintenance. our rooms were cleaned to the utmost satisfaction everyday. the staff was very courteous and polite. since i travelled by car and i had planned to leave goa early in the morning i.e. before breakfast timings, the staff ensured that we had veg sandwiches and tea/coffee in the wee hours also. not only that the packed a couple of sandwiches and wafers for us to munch on the way. what a delighful service. Neelam's the grand would be my first choice to stay in any hotel in goa, on my next trip.
