The Leela at Goa is an amazing destination, stay only there while in Goa if you wish to pamper yourself. The service is great and so is the property. There were some renovations going on but with minimum disturbance. The restaurants are out of of this world. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a club suite at the Leela in Goa. The service was amazing, specially with a private butler service. The food, beach, pools, spa and the warmness of the staff made us feel more than welcomed. I really recommend this hotel. However, if you are looking for fun and nights out, this hotel is a bit far from the beaches where parties are on (North Goa about 140 min driving). I really recommend it if you are after relaxation and "rejuvenation"

“Amazing Holiday”

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was clean and the rooms were beautifully furnished. The treatments offered from the spa was excellent and was the perfect was to start your holiday after a long flight. The food offered by the hotel was varied and very enjoyable. During our time in Goa we went for a tour in old Goa for 6 hours and we went to visit a number of different temples and churches. This was excellent value for money and available outside the hotel gates. We would definitely go back to Goa and to this hotel the staff made our good holiday great.

Lovely place. You can't go wrong. Stay there. Hints: (i) the restaurants lack atmosphere and are pricey. Go to others in the surrounding area, especially Fisherman's Wharf, only a 3 minute walk from hotel gates. (ii) Haathi Mahal Hotel up the road in Cavelossim does much much cheaper massages than you can get at the spa at the Leela. But the Leela is the place to stay. I am so glad I ignored the negative comments that others have posted.... and I'm a fussy traveller. We stayed in Conservatory Premiere room and Lagoon Suite (normal and later deluxe due to a power board blowing!). All lovely. The lower priced Conservatory Premiere room was luxury plus. Obviously the suites were too but i personally quite liked the cosiness of the smaller room. But it is all lovely. Just go there.

“Perfect Getaway”

I came to The Leela in Goa to specifically do nothing. Just relax for a few days, sit by the pool, eat, and drink. The Leela was PERFECT for this. I have no opinions regarding proximity to shopping, touristy stuff, etc. However, if you just want to "get away from it all", I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Extremely friendly staff waiting on you nearly hand and foot. Though they do charge extra for almost everything, they were generous enough to let me use their business center for free to print out flight confirmations, itineraries, etc.

“The Leela is worth the money”

Stayed in the Leela for 2 days in November 2008 with my girlfriend and we were very impressed with the size of the room, the resort as a whole and the service. There is not much to do other than relaxing on the beach but what a beautiful beach it is. The staff were very helpful, the food was OK overall but the indian restaurant was excellent. The only complaint is the smell of humidity in the rooms, but when you have so much water around you, its pretty understandable. overall we had a great time and would highly recommend it.
