“Great Location”

We had a great stay, but one day our room was not cleaned, though everything else about the motel was very good including it's location, breakfast and staff.

Great view with access to the beach. The motel was fine but burned out light bulbs and a broken patio screen door detracted from the experience. Also the rates seemed a little high. The place was about half full.

“good”

Staff were friendly, warned us about road closures on the day we left, saving us 50 miles. Decor was a little dated but room was neat and tidy. Breakfast was ok.

“Gold Beach Resort - A Resort, Ha, Ha, Ha!”

Before reserving my room on line through Expedia, I read the reviews which was the main reason I decided on the Gold Beach Resort. I have just one questions for all of the people that rated it so high. What were you smoking? It must have been some of the strong Oregon grown variety, or you are all friends or family of the hotel owners. Calling the Gold Beach Resort a resort in the first place is a joke. The exercise room represented by the hotel consisted of some inoperable equipment in the corner of a conference room. The hotel is outdated, worn out, and not well maintained. The breakfast was laughable. I travel a great deal on business, and actively search for locations to return with my family. This is one hotel that I will not be frequenting.

Check in and check out were fine. It has a nice pool and overall good access to the beach. The breakfast was terrible and the beds were so hard. The rooms were not very clean. I have stayed there 3 times and I will not stay there again. They actually swapped my good pillow from home that I brought with me with one of there gross ones. It was terrible.
