You'll feel relaxed the moment you enter!Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The warm hospitality provided by the owners, the beautiful view, the nice little touches throughout that give it a homely and relaxing feel.
Location: It's very close to shops, restaurants and wineries at Mt Tamborine, yet feels very secluded.
We had two nights booked at Avocado Sunset for the weekend of our wedding. My wife stayed for two nights (the night before and the night after the wedding) while I stayed just for the night after the wedding. Both of us enjoyed our stay there and hope to return one day. It was an ideal location for the bride's side of the bridal party to feel more relaxed while preparing for the wedding, and a warm and inviting place to retire to after our long wedding day! My first encounter with Avocado Sunset was when I entered on the wedding night. After a busy wedding day, it was so nice to come back to a place that felt so relaxing. Upon entering, there was a fire going and relaxing music playing in the common lounge area. There was also port available for guests to drink and a beautiful view overlooking the Gold Coast hinterland (which I was able to fully appreciate when the sun rose the next morning). We stayed in the Safari room, which was beautifully set out and just perfect for a romantic stay for two. Cheryl and Richard (the owners) had left a bottle of bubbly by the bath for us to enjoy on our wedding night. The next morning, we enjoyed the view right outside our room (and from the lounge area) followed by a delicious breakfast cooked personally by Cheryl and Richard, who are lovely people and made us feel at home. We hope to return to Avocado Sunset for another romantic stay some time soon!

Excellent stay!! Clean, modern, well kept. Comfortable bed, awesome views & 10/10 breakfast (even including owners own backyard eggs). Would come back & definitely recommend to friends for a relaxing one or two night getaway.

Great location, magnificent views and superb service from Cheryl and Richard (mine hosts)!! We booked the Daintree room (green theme) and found it entirely to our satisfaction, comfortable and clean. Cheryl and Richard made us very welcome, served superb breakfasts, and ensured our stay was memorable by laying on a great storm complete with lightning display. We will definitely revisit to recharge in future.

Thanks for your great review. Cheryl and I love what we do and the rewards come from our wonderful guests when they review our B&B! We try to give a traditional B&B service of which the breakfast is at the heart of it. We look forward to your return visit one day.

This is a perfect spot to stay on North Tambourine - close to everything and just a beautiful drive to other picturesque locations. Richard and Cheryl made us feel so welcome and we were able to share travel stories with them. The breakfast was to die for using fresh local produce and cooled while we waited. The views from the rear deck are just breathtaking.
