“Superb self catering apartment with great seaviews”

I loved this hotel and had a fantastic room overlooking the sea. I even stayed an extra day and found the staff really friendly and helpful. It was great for parking too and just a few blocks from the heart of Surfers Paradise. It was particularly good for the self catering aspect, allowing me to wash the contents of my suitcase mid trip. I'd love to stay here again.

“Great location almost on on the beach in Surfers”

The Breakfree Peninsula Resort in Surfers Paradise was a great choice for our stay on the Gold Coast. Our primary reason for choosing them was the apartment had to have a balcony with a good view of the beach & ocean...which it did. The other good points were; # the proximity to the Central Shopping Area (Cavill Ave)-easy to walk # the proximity to great restaurants & bottle shops-again easy to walk # the proximity to bus stops for easy travel further afield # great service from the reception assisting us with directions, etc Overall, the apartment itself had just been renovated so it was very nice & quite spacious, had a great gym...well worth the money we paid.

“Unobstructed Sea views”

Lovely views of the ocean from the room, it had all of the facilities required but decor was a bit dated. An excellent location for access to amenities.

“Decent for the Price”

Great location with easy access to Surfers Paradise. Room had a stunning view from the 39th floor of the entire beach. Room was a bit run down, walls needed painting, furniture updated etc. Biggest downfall was no internet or business center. I was traveling in the country for business and pleasure but needed access to email. Business laptops do not typically allow unsecured network like “hot spots” …. really but me in a jam. Staff was very friendly and even let us stay parked in secure garage after we had checked out. Must get a room with a balcony overlooking the beach!

“not cleaned by 2pm check-in, we have to wait for another hour before we can check in.”

The hotel was not cleaned properly and it was still smelly in the whole room. We weren't able to check in by 2pm because they haven't finish clean up!. We have to wait for another hour before we can check in. The hotel pools and spa weren't in use.

The location and view of the hotel is really good but looks like its not maintained well noticed lot of issues with the room. The windows where not cleaned for ages lot of dirt on the glass.

the apartment is not as clean as we expected. there was no service to provide at all which was quite disappointing cause we really paid a lot for each night.. However, location is fantastic, facing the beach and enjoying the sea breeze.

“Great location - rooms a bit tired.”

We had a 5 night break in the Peninsula - great location less than 100m to the beach. Room was a small 2 bed apartment with kitchen, bathroom and living area. The first room we were given had a great ocean view, but the furniture was scuffed and a bit battered - worst was the broken coffee table, and (new) kitchen cupboard doors not properly attached - also it wasn't all that clean. After a day at the parks we got back and found more bits and pieces that were broken or not working (lamps, hairdryer, shower doors, light/ceiling fan switches ...). We pointed these out to the desk and they immediately sorted us out with a replacement room - another 15 storeys up. Much better generally although the furniture was still a bit tired and dusty with handles missing from cupboard doors. The main bedroom light was broken too. The Peninsula has good facilities - indoor heated pool was very useful when it rained - and the gym was small but had a decent selection of equipment (not that we used it). Plenty of secure parking under the apartments. The outdoor pools and gardens were very well maintained. Some of the apartments were being renovated during our stay, but there was no noise or disturbance. Overall, great location, great views, great facilities and friendly efficient desk staff, but disappointing rooms. We would recommend that you request a newly refurbished room for your stay at the Peninsula.

we were extremely dissappointed with the conditions of the place floors were not cleaned properly bath tub was in a dirty state broken blinds meant we were trying to sleep in well lit up rooms after our complaints were heard, we were moved to another unit only to find the air conditioners were not working as we had just gone through severe flooding of our home it would have been nice to have arrived at a more pleasant surrounds certainly not 4 star
