A pleasant stay

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff and the sea views
Cons: Cleanliness and air conditioning units in rooms.
Lovely, friendly staff, good sized rooms and we had an amazing view. Excellent location for the beach, but a long walk to shops/Surfers Paradise. A nice apartment but definitely let down by lack of cleanliness.

We will be back

Posted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
We went to have Christmas with our daughter. We cooked a traditional lunch in our room. Kitchen was well equipped to cater for this. The beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean and the view was to die for. Thank you Steve and Brenda.

Close to the beach and the bus stop for the parks.

We arrived at the hotel 8 minutes before 2pm (which was the check-in time). I called the operator to inform them of our arrival. We were told to wait until 2pm before we could get in the lobby. It was a hot day and we had to wait outside the hotel. They could have just allowed to stay in the lobby while waiting for the time or just give the keys anyway. It's not like the room has not been cleaned out yet. The manager was friendly and very helpful. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

The apartment was recently furbished so everything was almost brand new. The weather wasnt very good unfortunately but the pools were too small for our kids. The location was quite central.

Fabulous views in all directions

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: Views, location, friendly managers, cleanliness, convenience.
Cons: The noise of the new train is an intrusion. Perhaps thicker windows or double glazing could help here.
Location: Bazaar at QT (a nearby hotel): awesome buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Night markets held three nights a week at Surfers Paradise.
Steve and Brenda are the welcoming hosts here, who have spent the past seven years ensuring that Capricorn One remains my favourite Gold Coast accommodation. I first stayed here in 2007, where I fell in love with the incredible views of beach, ocean, river, mountains and the skyscrapers of the Gold Coast. Seven years later, it is every bit as magical. The mornings can hold pods of dolphins clearly swimming with the surfers and hot air balloons in the clear blue sky over the mountains of the Hinterland. Views extend interstate to Tweed Heads around the curve of the coastline, and well north towards Brisbane. New Zealand seems just out of sight over the eastern horizon. Location is excellent. It is a short walk to everywhere. Make the beach your highway to Surfers Paradise, with its shops, restaurants, night market and nightclubs. Or head north to Main Beach, where Tedder Avenue is full of boutiques and trendy restaurants. Breakfast at one of the many beachfront cafes is an experience to be savoured. The building itself is clean, well-laid out, secure and full of all the usual facilities. Pools, barbecue area, private jetty, spa. The apartments are stunning, with huge glass windows to drink in the view, modern furniture and fittings, and stocked with enough to get you going. Not a huge assortment of cooking gear, but enough to get by with. I love it here. Simple as that. Sitting on the balcony with coffee, newspaper and that fabulous view is just heaven.

Our stay at Capricorn One was great. The staff very friendly and helpful. Our apartment was excellent with ocean and river views and all facilities. The pool and spa were great. We liked closeness to the light rail as we used it a lot to get around, would recommend to hotel to others.being mature women we found it very comfortable and safe.
