Very well maintained accomodation across the road

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: Mangement
We had a two bedroom unit. It was very well maintained and comfortable. The managers are very good, the premises both external and internal are sparkling and the security is very good. We will be back.

February Stay Gold Coast

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Location, management and views
Cons: The apartment we were allocated should be refurbished to the standard represented on the website. Realise these apartments are privately owned.
Location: Enjoyed the shopping at the Marina Mirage
We arrived on a Sunday and unfortunately there was a problem as Reception is it not open on Sunday. It would have been good if Expedia had explained this to us. Management had sent emails to our computer in NZ telling us this but we were in Australia at this time. A lot of effort went into trying to contact us which we appreciated. However we were disappointed with our apartment although the views were spectacular from the 22nd floor and we looked over the river and down to the Marina and looked along the coast south to Coolangatta. The living and bedrooms need refurbishing, the carpet is worn. The kitchen although fairly new had only two pots and one lid. We were assured there was no smoking but we wonder if by allowing smoking on the balcony this affected the living area. The bed was a double although we were assured it was a queen. Anyway definitely too small. We slept in two beds as there was also a single bed in the bedroom. Great location but pleased we had a hire car that we used each day to get from A to B. Felt that the photos posted on the Expedia site did not represent the apartment that we were allocated.

Fantastic Location!

A great hotel in a great location right on the beach. The staff were friendly and the rooms large and clean with amazing views, The tennis court, pool and sauna were all superb and with local stores, cafes and the surf club right near you this place is a winner. Only criticism is over a 3 night stay the rooms are not serviced daily and having to re-stock on dishwashing liquid etc. is a pain considering the premium price of the units. I would definitely stay here again

We were on the 23rd floor. Wonderful view. Quiet spot - not a lot of traffic. Close to Tedder Avenue. Clean and comfortable. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Location, comfort, value. Did I Mention location?

Posted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: A great place for a family stay on the Gold Coast.
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: Great northern end location.
The Location is great for access and close to the beach. It's across the road from the Southport SLSC so the beach is patrolled. Easy to get to by car without battling the Gold Coast traffic if your coming from the north as it's right on the northern end of the strip. It's a short drive or bus trip or you can walk in about 20-30mins to the main Surfer's shopping strip. Hopefully the tram and pipe works (July 2013) that are making a mess of the traffic at this end of Surfers will be finished soon as that makes it a bit of a battle during rush hour to get to the Surfer's shops, but you can just go 5 mins (by car) the other way across the bridge to Australia Fair Shopping Centre to get supplies so it's no big deal. The building has been around for a while, but is solid and has mostly been refurbished including our room so that was all good. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you need to live there with a family including Washing machine, Dryer, Dish Washer, microwave, Oven and the utensils you need to cook. Maybe we misunderstood the deal, but it's not really a Serviced Apartment as you need to hustle to get more Toilet Paper etc. and there's no one cleaning/bed making while you're there. No drama really in our case. Overall a great place for a family stay on the Gold Coast.

Not suitable for students

Posted Apr 18, 2013
Pros: Location (across from beach) and view.
Cons: Staff.
Location: Close to Surfers Paradise, but a more relaxed feel.
Location and view from hotel was amazing. Communication from apartment owner was unprofessional, in which us (as students) were treated disrespectfully. Unnecessary problems were often created, in which assumptions were made that we were the cause of these issues. Attendant was rarely available at the desk for assistance (i.e. directions or other help). Wifi connection was unsutable, for extra charge of $50. As students, we required it to study, but often found the connection to be poor and unreliable.
