Good location ... sorry but poor service

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: lots.... lifts need upgrade, some fragrance system will be nice to make the room feel fresh.
Location: Good location, everything is within reach
Less then half of roll of toilet paper provided, when asked if I can get more was told to go buy myself, I expected at least one full roll to start with. Smelly appartments, lifts are super slow. Coffee cups had stains at the bottom. Broken chair at the balcony, room door did not close through the glide.... had to pull it to make sure its closed. Staff that check me in and out were good at customer service but the others I spoke to in other shift were not.

Very basic accomodation

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful.
Cons: Maybe up grade the rooms as they are in dire need of a good makeover
Location: Beach was very close and shops were easy walk
had ot move from the 14th floor to the 2nd due to no wi fi at that level. Staff were very helpful. Very basic accommodation if you are looking for something at budget level this is ok.

Great location, great view and comfortable room.

Our stay at Equinox was very comfortable. Great location, excellent views. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to shops and beach close by. The only suggestion is that the bathroom door should be a slider or concertina, to make more room. Otherwise…great place.

Nice hotel close to Main beach

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Cons: Utensils provided in the apartment had seen better days. Might be worth getting a few of the older stuff replaced.
The place was nice , clean and comfy. Not anything luxurious but worth the money you pay. Decently priced, friendly staff and well maintained. The laundry was shared by 3/4 apartments in the floor otherwise everything was very good. Definitely going back again (hopefully will get a better deal next time :) )

Convenient for...

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Very convenient
Location: The beach is right across the street, great for those wanting to see a great sunrise and walk on the beach. About a 20min from the mall
.. the active traveler as well as those who just want to kick back. Had an awesome stay, though spent most of the times exploring Gold coast and swimming at the beach. It was always nice to return to this place for a good rest or to chill in the spa pool. Very friendly management team!

It is not a hotel!!!

Posted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: The facilities of this apartment are pretty good.
Cons: service
Location: very close to beach
It is not a hotel by title or by service. It is at most a self-service apartment. (1) unfriendly staff. I contacted with the staff for three times. Two of them were terrible. The first time was the night when I just arrived at the 'apartment'. The lady on duty did not open the gate of entrance, but asked me to access to a safe box that is located inside the gate. The key of my room was in the safe box. Another time was the fifth day of my staying there, when I found no one did room cleaning and even changing linen. I went to the reception, but a lady with glasses told me they never clean rooms unless guests in the room stay more than 7 days. However, (a) I was told that rooms would be cleaned in every four days, when I was paying the room charge during check-in; and (b) my reservation was actually for one week that means seven nights. Although I eventually got some clean linen and changed by myself, the experience was terrible. (2) permanent residents are mixed with guests. At one night, a big and strong woman (probably a neighbour resident) knocked my door to borrow tea and coffee. What a surprise?!

Nice and across the street from the beach

Posted Jan 25, 2014
Pros: Value for money. Opposite beach and close to Marina Mirage, Sea world and Surfers
Cons: Freshen up the room.. maybe new carpets, lounge?
Location: Opposite from Narrow-neck Beach. Close to marina Mirage, Sea World and main Beach. Also close to main tourist area of Surfers.
Clean but dated.. Value for money when considering other nearby hotels. Opposite "Narrow-Neck Beach" on the main drag. Close to everything.

hotel

Posted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: the position
Cons: bigger pool
Location: right across the road from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre of surfers
older type of hotel that has all the basics for a great stay, prime spot right across from the patrolled beach although the pool was dissapointing as it was way too small the rooms were clean and certainly roomy, however the furniture was quite basic and could have used some maintenance
