Great Location

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Great shower. Room clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Safety lock on door was broken. Room needs a bit of a spruce up.
Location: Close to beach and close to shopping area. Didn't have time to explore the area this time.
We had a great time wandering around the shops, and walking on the beach. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing. The local people are very friendly and helpful.

At Home

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: The wine list and perhaps some nice timber dining suits.
Location: Great for beaches, clubs and drives through the hinterland. It is close to the Gold Coast and Griffith University.
This is an excellent hotel with clean and comfortable rooms many of which have been renovated. My room was on the 10th floor with a stunning view over the Tweed River and heads and an easily accessible balcony to take in the fresh air. The bar and dining facilities are open and airy staffed by delightful, helpful and friendly people. The menu is tasty and adequate while the bar is well stocked with as small wine list (a more extensive wine list would help). Overall, from the friendly greeting by the front desk staff to the very cosy atmosphere of the rooms and the accessibility of facilities and beeches: this is a lovely place to stay.

Cheap. Needs renovating. No hair dryer or iron in room. Bathroom very old. Comfortable bed but that's about it.

Good deal on expedia

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and the foyer modern. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The children loved the pool and the water slide. I liked the spa
Cons: The entrance driveway is looking very dated. The roof above where the cars stop needs a really good clean and paint The garden needs a bit of work
Location: The location was fantastic. Close to shops and beach.
Family trip to Gold Coast. Relaxing day at the beach and one at Wet 'n' Wild.

Very simple room

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Close to where we had to be.
Cons: More information about the room on the website showing more photos.
Location: We only stayed one night
The room doesn't look like the picture on the website when I booked. The beds looked the same but the room was old. The shower was old. I thought they had done the place up. Maybe it is the rooms on other levels. They need to show more photos of the room so you know what you are going into. Our kettle didn't work it was all rusted inside. I called reception and they made me come down to reception to pick another one up. I waited at reception for ages but no one came so I just took the kettle from the desk and went back up to my room. I thought reception would of bought it up to us as it does have room service and all.

A tired hotel needing upgrading

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: location was good as close to restaurants and shops
Cons: as above, needs face lift
Room very tired. Shower head had fallen and shower not usable. used shower in room next to us. TV sound jumped. The hotel in general needs money thrown at it. The $150 we paid seemed too high for state of hotel.

Close to coolangatta and Twin Towns for Cooly Rock

Stayed here a few years ago and found it a little shabby. Most definitely an improvement, much cleaner and updated.
