“Worth a visit”

We stayed at Markham Court over the Australian Summer Hols for a couple of days, it was slightly more expensive than we would normally spend but well worth it, reception were very helpful and everything when we arrived was well orgaised, excellent rooms. The chilldren loved the swimming pool

“Wonderful place to stay but take bits and bobs...”

Markham was a fantastic place for us to stay while at the Gold Coast but it would have been easier if I had taken some items from home (NZ) to make life a wee bit easier. Markham is in a great location with very helpful staff but take your own face cloths, handtowels, oven cloth and pegs (if you need more than 14 for a load of washing). The frypan warped once heated so I used the oven instead but had no oven cloth to safely remove oven dish, so used the teatowel supplied. It was great to have a clothes airer on the deck to dry clothes but it had the "arms" removed from it, so difficult to dry towels after swimming in the pool. I understand why you are not allowed to put towels etc on the balconeys to dry but maybe at least one arm could be put back on the airer rather than having to wash and dry towels in the drier each time we go in the pool. Overall great place and yes I would go back (with the extra bits and bobs above). It would be helpful to have a map in the apartment of the supermarket/convenience store for the bare essentials when you arrive at Easter with the next day being a public holiday.
