Handy location in Surfers' ParadisePosted Jul 21, 2014
Overall we were reasonably happy with our stay. The adjoining rooms provided plenty of space for a family of five, and it was great having kitchen facilities. The resort was a five minute walk to a bus stop, and only slightly further to all that Surfers has to offer. Reception closes very early, making late check-in difficult, and service to rooms is limited. But it this was reflected in very reasonable rates.

Comfortable and handy locationPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: I was upgraded to a apartment instead of a studio room at no extra charge. The room was clean.
Cons: The grill or eatery was closed, this was not indicated on the website. The pool was definately not heated The corridors could do with a make over
I spent 8 days in Sufers Paradise and the hotel was well priced and comfortable.

Never ever stay herePosted May 11, 2014
Cons: See above
We had booked two rooms together as we have three children. When we arrived we had one room on the fourth floor and one room on the first floor. This meant that my husband had to stay in one room and me in the other. We decided to all stay in the larger of the two rooms. What we found was an old unmaintained resort that has permanent residents living in it. The people next to our room had people coming and going all night and their phone rang continuously through the night keeping us awake. The were holes in the walls some had been patched but others left open. The toilet door would'nt close and shower was mouldy and had rust stains running down the wall. We expected proper single beds and we given roll out matresses for the kids to sleep on, which we had to make ourselves. No pillows, sheets or blankets with the beds we had to chase them down ourself with the manager. One of the beds was broken and the others had stains all over them. The queen bed was so old you could feel the springs and if you got to close to the egde you would roll out. The kids heard people yelling in the room above ours. I must admit that they did offer to try a get us a 2 room apartment but would not refund or compensate us for the second room that we did not use. We were supposed to stay 4 nights but left after the first night. We are pretty easy going people and can overlook most small things but had to warn people about this resort. It will ruin your holiday.

Very good location. Close to the shops and beach.Posted May 3, 2014
We checked in late at night. When we got there, we found that instead of two rooms, it was only one room and instead of one queen and two single bed as we requested when we booked, it was only one queen bed. The phone in the room was not working. I went down to the main door enterence and rang from after hours emergency bell. But the staff was helpful and gave us two single roll out beds . We put in the roll out beds in the living room as there was only one room. The balcony sliding door lock was broken in the living room so there was no access to the balcony so that was disappointing . In the toilet/ bathroom the exhaust inlet fan was not working and there was no other window. The beds and mattress provided were of cheap quality and were uncomfortable. We stayed there for five night but there was no room service to clean the rooms or the linens. I was told that it is only provided after one week . The lady promised that she will send somebody to vaccum the room but nobody ever came. Overall we enjoyed the location but the hotel was not as we expected . It can do better with more maintainence. Staff is courteous . But it would be nice if they tell the guests on arrival about the bin disposal or the other amenities and services provided. We got a good deal so for the price we got, we don't have any regrets.

Good position, but furnishing not greatPosted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: The location was excellent and the pool was very nice.
Cons: The roller beds should be replaced with sleeper couches or only used for additional guests, not as part of the standard room package. .
Location: Ripleys museum in Cavill Ave is well worth a visit. Pancakes in paradise does a great breakfast and the staff are very friendly.
The position of the hotel and the amenities were good with all the main shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel had a beautiful pool, tennis court and games room. The room was supposed to sleep 4 but it was a queen bed with 2 folded up rolled beds in the lounge room. The one bed was broken and as no one is in the hotel after hours and it was a public holiday we were unable to get it replaced. It was probably just as well that the bed was broken as I don't think 2 roller beds would have fit in the lounge room area. The beds also came with no brakes and as the room is tiled, it moved around in the night. It would have been preferable if the couch in the lounge room was a sleeper couch and they did not use roller beds. We were supplied with tea and coffee and there was a small kitchenette in the room. Overall the hotel was nice but I would not stay there again as I did not find the roller beds secure enough for the kids.
