Great hotel close to ski hill

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Walls between rooms are a bit thin and we could hear conversations and TV's in other rooms. Would stay here again.

Clean and comfortable

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Kids liked the pool and waterslide; adults liked the hot breakfast that was included.
Cons: Not THE most soundproof place I've ever stayed, but that's not surprising. You could ask guests not to idle their diesel engines early in the AM.
Location: Most people seemed to be there for snowmobiling. Kicking Horse Resort was looking nice for skiing, but we were there for minor hockey.
A nice, clean, reasonably-priced place to stay in Golden. Staff were very pleasant.

Will not be back!!!

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: See above
Stayed here to go sledding on the weekend, wasn't given the room I booked on Expedia because I had my pet. Was put in pet specific room and charged more than twenty bucks extra a night. Either I pay a pet fee and pick my room or I don't pay a pet fee and they put me in a pet specific room and I don't pay a pet fee. Room was as plain as could be and not overly clean. The power went out in our room at about 3:00 am and got cold in there. No effort at all was made by hotel staff to appease anything. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

Terrible Service & Room conditions

No hot water or power in bathroom. Staff did not offer another room ,to repair or discount stay. Traveling with a newborn was not fun

Pros: food, and room itself was good
Location: it could have been nearer to downtown but wasn't bad at all
it wasn't a bad stay at all, the restaurant staff was excellent, I didn't mind the breakfast either. I decided to stay again on my way back from the coast.

Quaint, comfortable, low cost

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Kept clean
Cons: Pillows were hard, and way too thick
Location: Situated on the outskirts of Golden BC. Quiet, but close to all shops, dinning, skiing
Very nice stay for low cost. We booked last minute, and had to choose this over our top pick. Served hot breakfast every morning. Not the most fancy, but was clean and well kept. Our biggest complaint was that the pillows were too thick. Staff was very nice. Our waiter at the hotel's lounge was hilarious, and made our evening one to remember. Enjoyed the pool, and hottub.

Quiet comfortable overnight stay.

We were greeted by an enthusiastic staff member when we arrived, even though it was 11:30 at night. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable with a wide assortment of items offered at breakfast the next morning.

It was the perfect location for our overnight stay

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Location: Not applicable
We arrived around 9 and were able to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. Our server was phenomenal and the food (Indian) was awesome! We were very impressed with the breakfast and layout of the restaurant; we had our own dining booth and enjoyed a wonderful selection of hot and cold foods/drinks.

Nice place to stay for a half way stop.

Day Inn was very helpful in upgrading our room to a two bedroom because the Holtel.com webpage was not clear in the reservation. (It said double room but it did not mean there were two bedrooms.) The breakfast was excellent. We all enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant due to our wonderful waiter Sebastian. The only downside was after using the pool, the bathing suits were discolored. (faded)
