4th of July stay

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Nice view from our room. Looked at onto open fields and rolling hills.
Cons: Need more towels and shampoo (only one shampoo was supplied), we could have gone to the office and asked for more.
Location: Downtown Goldendale is close and there attractions about a 1/2 hour away.
We checked in just at 3:00 and asked for a second story room and the staff did some searching (the hotel was nearly full) and found us a room on the upper floor. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as it was somewhat noisy. But overall it served us well.

No Quality Here.

Cons: new sofa beds, ovens that work, equipped kitchens, clean pool
When booking was assured that 1. the fold out couch was new and had a comfortable mattress, 2. the kitchen / living room area was large and 3. that the oven was in full working order as we planned to cook for ourselves for our 6 night stay. Fold out couch was very old and terrible....like trying to sleep on 2 crosswise bars. Decided to sleep on folded in cough: zero support there as well. Oven did not work at all. And the kitchen was underequipped with basics like enough plates, bowls and coffee cups., etc. We had to eat out, and the local restaurants (except for one) did not serve healthy food. Plus it cost us serious $$. The living/kitchen area was so small, we were climbing over each other. Pool was cloudy and uninviting. Hotel did give a partial refund, but would not stay there again.

Surprisingly nice hotel for small town!

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: The thing I liked the most about this hotel was the cleanliness of the room.
Location: Not much to do nearby, located in a small farming community.
I was very impressed and surprised by this hotel. For being located in such a small town, I was not sure what to expect but this hotel was very clean and the staff was great! The room was clean and had all the amenities and the hot continental breakfast was excellent! The hotel offered free wi-fi, which was great since I could barely get a cell signal anywhere in Goldendale! I would definitely recommend this hotel to all!

Good stop after Willie Nelson

Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Bed
Cons: Room smell and loosen the faucet's so they are easier to turn on and off.
Location: Not much!
We did the Maryhill Winery concert and were heading back to Seattle the next day so Goldendale was a good stop. The bed was very comfortable. Too much vanilla air freshener. Never did see the fresh fruit for breakfast. A good stop on a lonely road and the McDonalds is next door!

Spent the weekend enjoying the area and a concert at maryhill winery, great venue. Nice pool, great to cool off on a hot evening. Nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable bed, perfect for our needs.

Best spot for Maryhill.

The service was excellent, product was as expected. Best spot for Maryhill. Breakfast was a surprise, not your typical continental breakfast.

Nice hotel for such a remote area

Posted May 29, 2013
Location: There isn't much around there to do. We were there to attend a private event of rock crawling.
It was a nice experience. Very nice room, small, but very clean and maintained facility.

Updated average room w/ great beds.

Posted May 7, 2013
Location: Goldendale is a cute little town w/ antique stores and an oldfashioned downtown/mainstreet. Was there for a Rodeo so I dd not expore the town.
It was a nice place to stay. I would stay again. Excellent beds and pillows. Room was clean, TV worked (internet did not) showers were hot, nice sized refridgerator in the room. Bathrooms were clean. Fairly quiet, good breakfast. Swimming pool was closed, small and not particularly attractive, but it is early in the season... Next to McDonalds and gas. Not a destination, but definately a decent pass through. Other sites of interest include: Maryhill Museum, Maryhill Statepark on the river, Maryhill Winery (excellent) and Maryhill Stonehenge Monument. We enjoyed our visit.

Nice Place

Posted Oct 3, 2012
The hotel isn't fancy, but it is well maintained, has comfortable beds, is clean, and has the usual ammenities. The service of the staff was especially good. They have a great contiental breakfast that includes a belgian waffle bar. When the staff learned we had to leave early in the morning, they opened up the breakfast an hour early for us. I'll stay here again.
