“Pet friendly”

We did not realize it was a "pet friendly" hotel when we made the reservations thru Expedia. When we checked in I asked for a non-pet room. The curt (almost rude) lady told me I was checking in rather late (3:30 pm) to have a "special request" but she assured us this room had never had pets. However, I thought the pillow smelled like dog. We were there to get away from our Coastal NC home and Hurricane Irene - and most all hotels were full, so we were lucky to get this room. The Continental Breakfast (tho a couple hours later than scheduled due to power failure in the whoe town - and most of the state) was very nice - had everything we wanted. The next morning there was a very kind lady at the desk, so much nicer than the check-in lady. Location was excellent! Close to outlet mall and tons of restaurants, plus just seconds from Rtes I-95/Rt 70 to take us back home. We had checked hotel after hotel, to find "no vacancy" - and we are grateful to Expedia (via phone) for finding us an available room during the hurricane weekend.

Great hotel room for the price. Staff was friendly. Facility is old, but well kept. Great breakfast.

Affordable, clean place to stay on I-95. No complaints.
