quiet Weekend

Posted Apr 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was quite comfy for a relaxing weekend stay. It was very busy due to the bank holiday when we stayed. Therefore a few problems during meal times in the restuarant, seating, running out of food and having to be replaced and it was also quite loud. But food was good for the evening meals. Pleasant area to stay for country walks and quite close to larger town and cities for visits.

wouldn't recommend

Posted Feb 4, 2013
we were disappointed by this hotel. it was high season and, allegedly, the hotel was reasonably full, yet out of the two restaurants and bar (which had food menus on tables), only one restaurant was open for dinner (and had only a buffet option, which didn't look appetising). the staff we encountered, with the exception of one, came across as being either rude or disinterested. upon arrival, we stood at reception for some minutes, whilst the receptionist ignored us. when our presence was finally acknowledged, we were told simply that our room was not ready - no friendliness or courtesy of offering some alternative, like to wait in the bar, have lunch, or leave our luggage. when we got to our room, the rooms either side were occupied by noisy children/families, who we could plainly hear. worried that we wouldn't have a good night's sleep, we immediately asked at reception if we could move to a quieter room and were told indignantly that this was a family hotel.

Rural beauty!

Posted Sep 7, 2011
Have lived in the area before and this Hotel was very conveniently located to suit our needs. Service was excellent, courteous and friendly. Condition was a bit off, but adequate. (No ventelation in bathroom and of course no air conditioning and it was unseasonably warm!) Restuarant was very good also. Hotel staff met and exceeded our every request. If all you need is a comfortable base to start your day's excursions, and a warm comfortable bed to end them, then this is the place for you!

The hotel was comfortable, good food, and amenities. There is not much to see and do within walking distance. The only restaurant within walking distance is at the hotel itself.

Great place to stay in the Eifel

Posted May 13, 2009
This hotel is a great place to stay if you are in the Eifel region. It offers a full spa and a large swimming pool with a slide. The hotel is a great place to stay with children as it offers plenty to do within the hotel but is also located very close to an animal park that showcases many of the different types of birds and animals that are native to the area and has a variety of fun rides and activities specifically for young children. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in the Eifel.
