Gonen Holiday Village - Lodge

The room left a lot to be desired. It is in need of some repairs vis a vis plastering to the walls and general refurbishing.The restaurant was excellent and very good value for both breakfast and dinner (we chose to dine their every night for convenience sake). The place served our purpose admirably - we were on a photographic and birdwatching trip to the area as part of the Hula Valley Bird Festival.Despite my comments above, I would stay there again.

pros: wonderful place for bird watchers and nature lovers - very close to Hula small lakes and a good base for touring the Golan Hights and Hermon mountain. Breakfast is good. Service and Staff behavior is warm and efficient, It's not too expensive. cons: The simple rooms are not so comfortable in considering the cost, but overall it's O.K.

Staff very welcoming and helpful; in a small town, surrounded by farmland. Wireless internet access at the reception area, but not on the Sabath.
