Air Conditioning

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The location was very good.
Cons: The air conditioner. Also, there was no cross ventilation since the back window was filled with the non-functioning air conditioner.
The room was very clean and the location was great. However, the air conditioning did not function. This was the only problem.

Big Mountain Escape

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: It was small but just perfect if you were not planning on spending a lot of time in your room the pool was nice and very clean they had free wifi
Cons: Newer vending machines
Location: Write in the heart of hikeing country also for the kids story land and santa's village are write down the street 10 mins from Mt. Washington.
A great place to stay if you want to be close to the big mountains there are plenty of resturants with in walking distance without the congestion of North Conway.

Pros: Convenient
Cons: Care in cleanliness of rooms. TV and electrical appliances need to be checked to see if they are in working order.
Location: Very Convenient......however there was no link or information at all to any of the nearby restaurants.
Not very clean.....rug not cleaned.....Staff appeared to be uninterested and not very friendly or welcoming

nice hotel, north of the notch

Posted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Staff
Cons: More out side lights in the parking lot.
Location: The Great Glen Trails, Mt. Washington Auto Road, major 4-wheeler trails.
My room seems to have been located in the older section. Carpet replace and some updating would be nice. Located far from the pool, wouldn't have been a pleasant walk in the winter months. Front desk staff, very friend and helpful.

Good place to stay in the White Mountains

Posted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Clean room, hotel is old but well maintained, good location, ample parking.
Really good place to stay for those looking to pay a reasonable price for a room. The room was clean, smelled really nice and the bathroom/shower were good too. The motel is rather old incl the furniture in the room, but it's all well maintained and therefore comfortable. The location in Gorham is excellent with restaurants in very close proximity.

Inexpensive but no problems

Posted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Good value.
Cons: Short of gutting the room and starting over, I'd like to see new bed covers and a better lock on the door.
Location: Gorham is close to the White Mtn National Forest of course. It also has a nice restaurant or two and good coffee shop.
Hotel is old but is well-maintained. Staff were efficient and pleasant. Room was spotless and clean, but musty.

Mt . Washington trip.

Not worth the $$$. No real ice machine . Shower was hairline scalding or freezing. Air conditioner was horrible , mini fridge perched on table , but worked. Whole front door frame shook like it could just be pushed right in. Difficult to lock and unlock. The good was ample parking , easy walking to area restaurants and attractions. All in all a bit scary!

Inexpensive and convenient location but tired

Posted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Inexpensive, convenient location right on main route and near amenities.
Cons: Housekeeping especially basic cleaning.
Location: Mountain Fire: very good wood-fired pizza across street & just a bit down the street. (Hotel staff hasn't heard of it)
Room tired looking and dingy. Housekeeping lacking: Bulbs burnt out, shower grotty. Carpet very dirty with sand and grit like it hasn't been vacuumed in ages. Coffee maker but no cups. One towel for two people. Used glass from a previous guest left beside sink.
