“Very Comfortable”

We stayed in 3 hotels while in Gothenburg. One near the center of town, one on the west side and one on the east side of town. All were very nice and the staff was super! This end was near the casino and close to shopping. It is located in an office building on the 4th floor. Nothing fancy, but nice, clean and friendly! We would definitely stay here again! Our favorite part of Gothenburg was located near the Best Western Tidbloms is located. It was close to the city, but had a small town feel with great restaurants and shops nearby.

“Nice water front surroundings”

The hotel is situated in the upper level of a professional building. It was difficult to find and navigate to due to major road construction. Once there, the room was large, comfortable and contemporary with all high-tech devices available. Views of the water were fabulous. Car parking tends to be expensive. The included breakfast was perhaps less than typical with few options, though satisfying.

“Functional, Friendly and Good Value”

I was pleasantly very surpised by the hotel. Although the rooms are small and no-frills they're perfectly comfortable and kept very clean. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is very close to the train/bus station (10-15min walk) and tram stops (probably the main way you will get around). Breakfast is also good quality - and free! It is, as others have said, somewhat difficult to find as its entrance is on the fourth floor of an unassuming tower block. There are large signs on the side of the building but only very small ones on the ground floor. The best thing to do is to look for a gaudy Chinese restaurant which is on the ground floor; the entrance is next to it. And if you arrive at night, you have to press the buzzer to gain entry (on left side of door, illuminated in blue).

“Gothenberg Trip”

This hotel is older, the room wasn't up to modern trim but was comfortable. The hotel is located on the third floor of a building, and it probably has the slowest elevator in Sweden. Its located in a quieter area looking over the harbor and ferry terminals. Its a good walk to any restaurants or nightlife. There is loads of parking. Breakfast was first rate and the staff are excellent.

“Great place to stay in Gothenburg!”

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable -- especially accommodating for our group (1 adult + 3 children). The only challenge was finding the hotel by car. Once we were checked in, it was very convenient to walk to restaurants and other places of interest.

“Old exterior building but decent looking interior and clean rooms”

When our family arrived at the hotel, we were not impressed with the exterior look of the hotel or the elevator (lift) to get to the reception area. It's an old concrete building that is in need of a major uplift. Fortunately, the reception area on the 4th floor and interior improves significantly. Correct me if I'm wrong but the hotel advertises that it renovated the interior in 2006-2008. We were on the 5th floor and had a view of the harbor. The room was nice, small typical of hotel rooms in Scandinavian countries, and compact. The sofa was already unfolded into a bed for one of our children, nicely done since we arrived late in the evening. The accommodations worked well for us because it was an overnight stay and we weren't looking for luxury or much service. Breakfast was included in our booking and offered scrambled eggs, bacon, hot oatmeal in a microwave oven, spread of cold cuts, breads with couple of different jams, and hot and cold beverages. Location: this hotel is very close to the harbor and about an easy 10 minute walk to the central part of town. Price: decent compared to other hotels in the area with the same hotel rating. My recommendation to stay at this hotel has a caveat. This was a transit point for our family and we were looking for something, almost anything, to stay for one night. This hotel worked well for us but if I were to stay in Gothenburg longer, I would try to find something else.

“Doing Business in Gothenburg”

The hotel is conveniently located to the downtown area and is fairly typical of Swedish hotels having spartan furnishing. The room was clean and well maintained. My only criticism is that the hotel is the upper levels of a shared building and althought the staff was very accomodating there was very little staff available. For a business trip this hotel is fine but I would not recommend it for a holiday.

“Rooms very spare and unclean”

The hotel staff was rude. After paying over plenty for a room, they said, "well you did choose a non renovated room! " I did not choose any such thing. Really? When I pay that much I expect a quality room. And the neighborhood was industrial, and non friendly to tourists. Miserable, unclean carpet, spare furnishing except in the lobby.
