Beautiful, Historic and Friendly

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Clarion Wisby. It is a magnificent historical building. So it was great to look at. Fantastic atmosphere. The room was very nice with wood floors and an updated bathroom. The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Wifi was surprisingly good for an island hotel. Breakfast was very good and even included fresh milk from local cows! Visby is a beautiful town and the Wisby is definitely one of the very nicest hotels there.

Average hotel- not worth the price

Posted Oct 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
Room was cold. Receptionist (a Russian?) was busy taking calls, not bothering about waiting guests. Too much salt in the omelett, served like pads. Grey colour towels in bathroom- colour never seen before. Hotel not worth a second visit, despite great location.

Great Place to Stay in Visby

Posted Aug 9, 2012
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: None
Location: Opposite the tourist information office. Very near to the sea front. Easy walking distance of the harbour and the Bus station.
First class breakfast and good sized double room. A perfect location in visby.

Nice hotel, central.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast buffet. Room information was quite out of date - we asked to hire the hotel's bicycles, but were told that they haven't offered this service for 3 or 4 years! There was a SEK 100 charge for using the pool in the hotel's spa, although this was waived when I questioned it at checkout. The pool itself was nice, but so small that it was a little awkward when there was more than one group using it.

I can easily say that it is the best hotel to stay in Visby and the price very reasonable. Too bad that their restaurants kitchen is closed after 11:00pm. The breakfast buffè is just unbeatable. Great choice!
