“Fantastic Hotel”

Stayed at the Barcelo Las Margaritas in Playa Del Ingles in October 2007. Found the hotel and staff to be extremely polite and helpful. The food was superb - lots of choice during breakfast and dinner (we were half-board). There was a free shuttle to the beach (10 mins) daily whereas other locations by taxi did not cost more than 3-5 Euros in the local region.

“Better than expected”

If your like me and not here of Barcelo then your in for a nice suprise. We booked this hotel because of its location and its value and we were suprised at the quality we got for the money. included breakfast and dinner, it is hotel food but better than others ive had. On arrival we were offered the choice of a room on top floor with a view or lower floor for quick access, of course we took the room with a view and wernt dissapointed, over looking the pool area where the evening entertainment is staged and also a view of the beach (although about a mile away)and the sand dunes of maspalomas. With the constant perfect weather its a great view everyday. The pool is smaller than most but it was never too busy but we went just before summer holidays. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will consider using other barcelo hotels at other destinations.

“Great Value for Money”

Very good comfortable hotel close to places. The full board meals came with the hotel package and it was a great value. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others.

“Excellent hotel”

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel, the facilities and location were both excellent. I stayed half board and the food was really good although semed to cater for German guests more, but still excellent salads, different bits on the hot counter. would of liked to see a few more spanish dishes.

“Ideal location”

Booked in combination with flights, this holiday represented great value for a short four-day break. The hotel was comfortable, the buffet breakfast and dinner offered an excellent range of choices, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities both on site and in the local vicinity were more than adequate. I would stay in this hotel again.

“Great hotel”

We had a great time at Margaritas. We were on the 8th floor, so had a great view of the whole complex, looking down to the pool area. Hotel service was excellent, with the restaurant being particularly good, serving different food in a buffet style every day.

“Not 4 star but still very comfortable”

The first time I have been to Gran Canaria, decided only to stay at a 4 star hotel as I did not know the area. The room was clean but the décor is very outdated with chips in the bathroom mirror and not the most comfortable bed linen. Very nice hotel but not 4 star, a max 3 star by European standards. Went half board and this included breakfast and dinner, the food was amazing, lots of selection and top quality. Very friendly staff that can all speak basic English. A nice pool area and a bus service to the beach.

“Good quality 4* hotel with excellent service!!!”

Satyed in Margarias Barcelo over the Easter time 2007. Very nice experience all in all: very freindly, helpful staff; extremely efficient reservations manager; clean and comfortable rooms with great service and a very impressive variety and choice of food in the half board option we went for. 4* well deserved. “Never again - warning to others - DONT GO !”

A thorougly dispointing stay (Feb 2010) - this is never a 4 star - 3 star (if that) and expedia should review its online status. The pool bar looked and felt like a bus shelter, the other pool bar opened at irregular intevals, the restuarant was buffet style, food just warm and finding a table was never easy, the condition of the hotel is very tired and is badly in need of a refurb (rooms particularly). The site of the hotel is poor - it is bus ride to the beach. The local bars and restuarants are....well not worth a second visit.
