Terrific complex for a relaxing holidayPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Clean, well maintained both indoors & out, quiet (away from the hustle & bustle) allowing you to relax
Location: About 20 minute walk to Maspolomas beach/dunes and/or Melonares. 2 minutes from a bus stop with options to get around the island.
This is a must resort if all you want to do is relax, unwind and enjoy great weather without any noise pollution. The complex is self contained and has a small shop for emergency items, although a supermarket is located within a 5 minute walk. The bungalows are perfectly adequate for 2 and as well as a small kitchen diner, there is a small living area complete with plasma tv. We had a south facing bungalow with wall to wall sunshine all throughout the day. Each bungalow has a small sun terrace complete with a couple of sun beds, just in case you don't want to go to the pool, although there are plenty around both pools on site. Whilst the option we took was self catering, there is an option to dine in the on-site restaurant. All staff were both welcoming and friendly. Definitely a resort that I would visit again and one that would recommend!

Nice hotel, but out of the way and not the best.Posted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: The pool was great, though quite a lot of chlorine in it and the place looks really nice.
Cons: The ant problem could be improved and certain members of staff could be a bit more polite.
Location: Location isn't great, but transport connections are close by and it wasn't much of a problem to get around
The hotel itself was nice enough, but there were more problems than I would have liked with it. On arrival, we discovered there were several extra charges that were not mentioned anywhere at all (you have to pay to get your keys, there's an additional charge of 3 euros per day for the safe, and you were charged for pool towels) and the staff member who greeted us was unpleasant and unhelpful. The bungalow itself is pretty nice and is what you would expect from a hotel room; small kitchenette, living room, bedroom, bathroom, patio. But our experience in here wasn't great as the bath was infested with ants and to resolve the problem we were given ant killer by the reception staff (they had a lot on hand so I assume it's a recurrent problem). The location is not very centrally located either with the beach being approx. 40 minutes walk away, there is a free bus service from the hotel but it is only available to take you there quite early in the morning and will only take you back quite late at night. There is a local bus station about 10 minutes walk away where you can get the bus to anywhere else on the island though, and the shopping centre Faro 2 is only a 5/10 minute walk away (where there is the best restaurant I have ever eaten in! El Nublo! It is a must!)

Very good value for moneyPosted Apr 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The bungalows are attractively laid out in well-maintained gardens surrounding a pool and other amenities. The bungalows are spacious and very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Hot water works fine. Kitchen has a fridge and microwave and there is a small private patio area with table, chairs and sunbeds. Pool towels provided. TV in room with BBC News and other local channels. The area is quiet. There is free internet in the reception area. The on-site mini-market is adequate for minor essentials. The place is a long walk from any other facilities such as a decent supermarket or restaurants. There is a restaurant in the adjacent hotel. The walk to / from the beach is about 15-20 minutes and there is a free bus that runs about 3 times in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. There is adequate free parking available. All staff were very helpful and the check-in / out process was quick and easy with a small welcome pack. Popular with families / couples etc and different nationalities. Very good value indeed.

A perfect holiday we have stayed at these bungalows before and enjoyed our two weeks just as much as ever. The bungalows are very well kept very clean a maid service 5 days a week, The bungalows are small but very comfortable for two adults and one child. We cooked some nights in buying our food at a nearby market although only two cooking rings they are adequate .This year a microwave oven has been added. There are some good restaurants within walking distance. We walked to the beach most days but for the less energetic there is a free bus service. The bungalows are updated every year. The staff are more than helpful and all very happy.small shop in grounds open 24 hours very useful . Supermarket near by.We will return next year no doubt .

Our Bungalows in Mas Palomas were very comfortable and clean, cleaned 5 times a week.We mainly self catered and although there are only 2 electric rings I found that adequate. The bungalows are very well maintained and also the gardens and pools. We used the restaurant twice and it is value for money. The staff are very friendly, there are supermarkets near by and also restaurants. The free bus takes you to the beautiful beach and dunes although we walked 45mins. We have been to these bungalows before and will certainly go again. Nothing like warm sun in January

Good ValuePosted Jun 20, 2010
The bungalows are simple but as we were mainly sleeping whilst there it worked fine. I would say the complex is ideal for families, in a quiet location.

Beyond my expectationPosted Apr 25, 2010
Bravo I dont normally write reviews but on this occasion, I wanted to praise this lovely place and recommend to other travellers. Situated in maspalomas near the family attraction Holiday world, the main beaches, Faro 2 shopping centre, good transport links to the rest of the island and to airport, i thoroughly recommend this bungalow complex. Very quiet, the bungalows are basic but clean and comfortable. It is very family friendly and I feel really safe for the kids to wonder around the complex. Each bunagalow have its own little front court yard and lovely palm trees and grass for everyone to enjoy. The staff are extremely friendly, from front reception down to the restaurant staf and the cleaning ladies. There are 3 swimming pools which are all kids depth. Loads of sun loungers and plenty of activity laid on by the management to keep everyone occupied such as water polo, football, tennis, etc. I also wanted to praise the management and the staff of Bungalows Club MasPalomas One during the vocalno disruption. They were extremely sympathetic with all its guests and not only they didnt not take advantage of us, they offered discounted rate for stranded guests, late check out without charge, helping with administrative stuff such as printing, telephone and translation when we had to deal with local agencies and organisations. Service with a smile and I would definitely return here when I'm in Gran Canaria again. Bravo Bungalows Club MasPalomas One. Andy

Budget BungalowPosted Sep 13, 2009
Free WiFi at reception, which was great. Some of the receptionist were nicer than others. Bungalow was basic, but did have everything that we needed. 2+1 pools, although crowded sometimes. I found the Buffet Dinner menu a bit out of fashion and date, seems that did not change in the last 30 years:-) So luckily we did not sign up for it for the whole stay, rather dined out. Breakfast was a bit better, although not great, but it was comfortable having it there instead of going out somewhere or preparing it on out own. Generally satisfied, would recommend and also go back myself.

not impressedPosted Sep 25, 2008
very noisy. no privacy, bunglows look right into opposite bunglow. maid knocks on door at about 7 am with towels, no, do not disture sign. couldnt get rid of smell of smoke in room. breakfast buffet eggs could bounce on floor. very rude staff who can hardly speak english. dirty pool side, one bin not emptied for 3 days. Also no telephone in room in case of help. finally take own soap since there is no greeting soap at all.
