perfect to just chill

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: everything. just great for a spring break. chilling by the pool with a long cold drink. bliss.
Cons: take a kettle, no tea or coffee facilities. they will provide one but at 4 euros a day.
Location: nice walk along the front to other resorts. golf course. use Hemmingways for lunch, great food good value and fantastic staff.
very nice hotel, quite large but very nice nontheless. 3 great pools and plenty of sunbeds available, towels provided. its a somewhat under developed area so quite peaceful. only 10 mins walk along the promenade to the busier Maspalomas. truth is unless you want to you don't need to budge from this hotel. bars are great, prices fair. we stayed half board, breakfast and dinner were both more than ample in their choice. in the evening a professional act would profide entertainment. there is also a piano bar. we popped in to the spa for a look around, didn't use it but its very well equipped. overall location, weather, food in fact everthing was perfect. underground car park available free of change. for lunch there are bars, cafes across the road, less than 30 yards from the hotel and right on the beach. will definitely go back.

Great holiday hotel

Posted May 29, 2014
Second time stayed there - had a great time and very good value. Paid a bit extra for a suite which was well worth it. The half board is a good quality buffet self serve - cruise standard. Drinks reasonably priced. Has entertainment on each night - though this visit was only 'OK' whereas previous visit was first class - so I guess it's patchy. Overall very good value for a 5 star hotel. Location a long but nice walk into Meloneras and a bit further onto Maspalomas beach

The location of the hotel was brilliant

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Location, swimming pools, nearby beach, food, drinks and staff.
Location: There is an animal park nearby which is worth a visit. The aqua park is also a good day out. There is an open air cinema also worth a visit
The hotel staff were always very polite and professional. Especially at evening meals. Our room was properly cleaned every day. The location of the hotel is ideal. The beach right in front was an added bonus. It is an easy stroll to the main town and if you dont fancy the walk a taxi to the lighthouse is only 3.50 euro. At the end of the stay our drinks bill which also included two lunches at the pool restaurant was very reasonable. I would reccomend this hotel and also look forward to returning in the future. Great hotel beautifully designed .

Posted May 22, 2014
Pros: I liked rooms, space, food quality and presentation Friendly staff.
Cons: I don't like what they call the privelage area which you have to pay extra for . They have areas cordoned off for these customers. Not needed.
Location: It is an upmarket area There are bars ,and restaurants and beach just next door to Golfing.
Great hotel ,beautifully designed very eye pleasing, Staff very helpfull. Rooms spacious with excellent balcony. Good pools 2outside very large and childrens pool. Good quality play area for children rubber matted with swings etc. All in all we had a great holiday at this hotel

Lovely hotel, fab facilities and close to beach

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Great week spent in Meloneras. Hotel is great, lovely pools, restaurant, bars and nice friendly staff. We went at the end of April so the Meloneras beach restaurants and bars are very quiet- it's apparently out of season so the majority close but we had half board at the hotel anyway. Hotel is a minute walk from the beach and a lovely 10 minute walk into the main Meloneras town.

Smart and different hotel (very confusing at first

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: The sunloungers were superb, the meals in the Gaudi restaurant excellent.
Cons: Spa could be open later than 8pm ie in case you wanted to use it after dinner. Bike hire shop could be open all day Sunday.
Location: Walking, cycling.
Stayed over Easter, well located near to the sea, excellent views. Doesn't feel crowded even when the hotel is full as they have lots of land around the pools. Privilege upgrade is 27 Euros pppn but worth it as you get the a la carte restaurant, use of the spa, use of the privilege lounge (free snacks and drinks all day long and internet usage) and quiet privilege sunbathing area with better loungers.

Nice and Comfortable Hotel

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: The hotel is well maintained, the pools are nice, and the buffet is pretty good. A good resort to visit for a couple of nights.
Cons: Removing the ridiculous rule about wearing pants to enter the buffet. This is the first beach resort I go to that I've seen this at.
Location: Restaurants, shops and beach are all 10-15 minute walking distance.
Found the hotel to be suitable for families and older couples, not younger couples. It is a nice hotel with good amenities overall, and relatively close (10 minute walk) to a nice boulevard filled with restaurants. One ridiculous thing about the hotel is that you have to wear pants to enter the dinner buffet. I was visiting to enjoy the beach and sun so I only packed a number of shorts, and after a 15 minute argument with the staff, they brought me a pair from the hotel.

Pleasantly Surprised

Stayed 1 week on bed and breakfast basis with baby. Cot was in room as requested. Breakfast quality was excellent. Facilities excellent and near to beach and local restaurants but also walkable to the "posher restaurants" along the boulevard. Swimming pools were suitable for young children with an adult only infinity / sunset pool which was great to do lengths in. With the sunshine it made it a thoroughly pleasant stay.
