“Nice Hotel, Fantastic Location!”

The Hotel Concorde is ideally situated - 400m from the Playa de Las Canteras - possibly the best city beach anywhere. If you're coming to the Gran Canaria and you want to do more than just sunbathing and go to English bars and Sky Sports bars go to Las Palmas there is so much more to do here than Maspalomas or Playa de Ingles. The hotel is five minutes walk from the Estacion de GuaGua - Santa Catalina (Fare is 5 Euros one way from the airport) or about 35 euros by Taxi. The Breakfast here is incredible - all you can eat, and hot buffet, cheese and cold meats and fruits cereals etc. If you want to Sunbathe - the Hotel has a fabulous sunbathing rooftop complete with swimming pool. Las Palmas has great shopping centres and historical stuff like the casa de colon (Christopher Columbus house) and museums to visit. I travelled in December 2011 (last week) and the temperature was between 20 and 26 degrees (even at night!!!). I would really recommend this hotel particularly for its brilliant breakfasts (all in a rooftop restuarant with great views of the beach0 and its location.

Great hotel. Nice little roof-top pool. Rooms good. Staff helpful. Restaurant opening times for breakfast very reasonable. Not a great choice of food for evening meal but plenty of local restaurants nearby.

Lovely hotel, has everything you could need for a fantastic break in Las Palmas and Gran Canaria. Right next to the beach. Looking forward to visiting again.

“Very good value”

Comfy, clean room. Excellent shower. Great breakfasts. Very near - 100m the beach. Only reservation the directions from airport to hotel were terrible, gave the impression it would be easy to find and wasn't because of the one way system. It took us half hour from the airport then two hours driving round. Also the fact it didn't have parking nearly caused a divorce!! Parked in the multi on Luis Morote a couple of minutes from hotel 42 euro for 6 days.

“Great location”

The hotel is in an excellent location, next to the lovely city beach, and within walking distance of the bus station (bus 60 from the airport to Santa Catalina bus station). It is in a main shopping area with eg El Corte Ingles, and a bus ride (bus 12/13) or longish walk away from the older part of the town where the main pedestrianised shopping street is, aswell as some museums. As mentioned by other guests, the hotel isn't particularly 4 star. The rooms are very clean, nice bathroom. No tea/coffee facilities, but that is pretty normal for the continent. Fab breakfast in a room with amazing views over the sea. There's also a good bar/cafe on the ground floor. Staff are friendly and speak some English. The downside is that the staircase is a bit shabby, and we didn't bother with the swimming pool on the roof, as it was tiny.

“A well priced and well situated hotel but not 4 Star as claimed.”

The rooms are slightly tatty and the hotel's public spaces lack the comfort one expects of a 4 Star rating. However, the restaurant has wonderful views and an excellent breakfast. The hotel is well situated close to a sandy beach and lovely promanade with a good selection of restaurants and watering holes. Parking is at special rates in a nearby car park and taxies easy to find in the area but you will need a good map to find the hotel!

it was value for money, beds wer always made and towels always available in room. pool and bathing area is great although not entertaining enough for children. but for couples great and peaceful. a great thing about this hotel is its close to the beach, shopping centre and there is a big square with several bars which i found useful

“Old hotel but in the city center”

Very close to Las Canteras beach. (30 meters). The beach and hotel is inside the city, not like Maspolamas area. There is sea view in the restaurant. Food is excellent and much better than other restaurants around. Staff are friendly. Hotel definitely needs maintenance but it is clean. If you like windsurfing, you will find many good nerby destinations, Pozo etc.
