“Great place to stay while on Gran Canaria”

This is more of a resort than a hotel with multiple buildings and beautifully kept grounds. The pictures on Expedia do not do the justice to this place, in reality it looks much better. Everything you need is on site or close by. You can rent a car for about 40 Euro a day or take a bus to get anywhere, which is a better option only if there is maximum two of you. Otherwise a trip to Las Palmas or Mespalomas for a family of 4 costs close to what you would pay for a car rental. Definately visit the restaurant in the resort and order the 6/8 course Menu of Degustation dinner. It will run you about 50 Euro a person without wine, but it is worth it if you are into quality dining expirience.

This hotel is in a lovely location in its own gardens, food is excellant as are all the facilities including the spa which is free to use-we will be back..

“Superb time and unlimited food!”

Had lovely time though, it was holiday time and was extremely quiet. Hotel is faultless and I would def recommend. Try paying 15 euros pppn extra for a junior suite which have a lounge area and sunbeds on the balcony for total privacy! Would def go back but in winter when it would be busier. The presentation and varieties of food is endless and you will find something for everyone. Better suited for families of young children, and adults, though not for partygoers and there is no nightlife in the village.

“Extremely nice hotel”

My wife and I are seasoned travelers and have stayed at all sorts of hotels and motels. I was not sure what to expect in a small fishing village in the Canary Islands but this was a very pleasant surprise. The Cordial matches up with the best hotels in major urban locales . The setting is spectacular with cliffs towering 500 feet or more behind the hotel. It is large and well equipped. The room was up to date and the internet service was amazingly good in the business center. The staff was actually very helpful and willing to try hard to please the guests. The food was very good, not great but they were serving buffet style and serving hundreds of people so that is to be expected. This is a great hotel.

“Good for a family stay”

Stayed at the hotel for a week over New Years with my wife and child of 5 months. Good service, nice pools, close to decent restaurants in town if you get bored of the (decent) buffet at the hotel. The evening buffet can get a bit manic and the waiters seem a bit stressed and can forget your order for drinks, but nothing major. If we want a week away from the London grey some other time, would definitely consider to go back.

“Gem of Gran Canaria”

Just returned from a week at Hotel Cordial and was extremely impressed both with the hotel and the resort. Many of the rooms are built round courtyards featuring water features on a grand scale and the kind of plants you might have in your front room although, in this case, they are forty or fifty feet tall. The hotel is very large and spread over a wide area but they've been careful not to give it a uniform or corporate feel by using different styles, colours, tiles etc. Food was excellent with a wide choice and friendly staff. Other facilities in the hotel are also excellent and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Didn't enjoy the entertainment much but some people did. We tended to sit in the foyer and listen to the piano or sax player or go down to the harbour for a drink. We spent an afternoon in the spa which I would also recommend. Puerto de Mogan itself is very pretty and only a few minutes walk away. Plenty of bars and restaurants but no clubs (at least, I don't think so) so it was very peaceful with a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel and resort seem to attract a variety of nationalities with no one nationality dominating. This made the whole place seem much more welcoming and cosmopolitan and was a definite plus factor. The final positive was the weather - absolutely perfect with sunshine every day but not too hot.

“Restful, quite luxurious break”

We're not used to week-long stays in all-in-one luxury hotels, being usually independent travellers who prefer smaller establishments and moving on day by day, but for a shot of winter sun this hotel fulfilled all our expectations. Facilities were excellent, attention to detail painstaking and ambience (especially the subtropical gardens) superb, despite an initial impression we're moved onto the set of the computer game Myst! Age-range predominantly middle-aged to elderly (perhaps because of price) but plenty of facilities for younger people too.
