This hotel was terriblePosted Jan 23, 2012
This hotel was terrible. You had to rent a hair dryer, Iron, etc. The hallways were trashed and the location was not represented properly. Do not come here.

All inclusive "Good value for money" well worth it for what you get !!Posted Dec 22, 2011
Location: Puerto rico - boat trips out, tours out, well worth visiting a few days looking about the place if not just for the beach alone. very busy.
-Tidy Complex, with plenty to do to pass the time away without the need of spending further cash if you dont wish to,or if you do wish to get out & treat yourself to day trips out, loads to do,marlin boat fishing, dolphin watching, hire of bicycles all of which are not badly priced & value for money. well worth getting on a bike to get around or hop on a bus, depends on how active or not you happen to be, there are a lot of hills & good path ways along the beach & off the main highways to use safely away from fast moving traffic if you care to walk instead. -Food & drink free & on tap all day long, always able to find some scooby snack to munch what ever was presented & on offer, bit of of bonus.( I've had better But I've also had alot lot worse) its a pretty good deal as I found you wont get dinner / a snack at a restaurant for two for much less than 25-35 Euros with a beverage of coffee of beer included, add that up in a day multiple it by the week & the number of persons & yes...The IFA Interclub Atlantic Hotel is differently the way to go. -There is a local spar shop at the bottom of the road, very handy. NOTE - You well pay over the odds for almost everything you buy food, drinks, clothes,as like all typical tourist holidays. (but it may also be because of it being an island having to pay the premium for importing of certain goods i.e. the usual brands, you'll know the ones,Jack Daniel's,Smirnoff,Bombay Sapphire. Personally I think they are taking advantage off the Euro.

Too far awayPosted Nov 14, 2011
Location: Porto Mogan as it is a lively resort with plenty of bars and shops to visit.
This hotel is too far from local bars and shops,k it is a good 30 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel animation team provided all day entertainment which was fantastic. The restaurant provided a wide range of meals and the meals were really well presented and served up. The bar was poor as only served local spirits in small measures and only allowed 2 drinks at anyone time. The reception staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful especially the female member of staff. I would only go back to this hotel to see the animation team who pretty much made my holiday.

Not impressedPosted Oct 7, 2011
Whilst I accept that this hotel was only a 3-star, I thought the in-room facilities were poor. For a country so close to the Equator, not having even a fan in the room made the stay uncomfortable. The telivision was from the 90's and frequently stopped working and there wasn't even tea and coffee making facilities which meant paying over the odds for a bottle of water every time you were thirsty. To pay to 'rent' an old safe in the room felt like a petty annoyance and the existence of twin beds rather than a double added to this feeling.

never againPosted Jun 3, 2011
The reception staff were unfriendly and couldnt be bothered. The food was bland and repetitive - the fish was non edible The setting of the hotel is terrible - miles from anywhere and a taxi ride is needed to get about The grounds of the hotel were fine, but whilst there they were repairing the pool so the sound of drilling was going on constantly the pool bar was catered for mass tourists not friendly and inviting. Would never go back again

Second visit in 3 monthsPosted Feb 6, 2010
Its not super luxury but this place does offer excellent value, plenty of good food, beautiful gardens and lovely pools. Clean, tidy and well maintained. Good bus services nearby - about 10/15 mins walk to the bus stops. Just take note that the hotel is located high above the beach so there is always an uphill walk when returning!

Noisy street, bad access to the beachPosted Nov 7, 2007
Nice location with view to the sea. But direct access to the beach is missing: stairs not in use anymore. So you have to walk at least ten minutes down the street. Street with much traffic (busses, taxis, delivery to the hotel) even during late hours: very unpleasant for hotel guests with rooms on the street side.

cant fault anything about this hotel, had a great time here pools and gardens great, staff friendly,Posted Sep 21, 2007
Could not fault this hotel, staff welcomeing and helpful, pools and gardens lovely, maintained daily, food great, plenty of choice and regularly topped up with fresh. room cleaned each day and clean towels, handy spar shop down the road selling anything you might nead, not far from beach even though you get covered in black sand, walked along beach to sand dunes of maspalomas through playa de ingles, lovely walk but got a taxi back, very cheap! recommend going to sioux city friday evening bbq, seemed expensive but well worth the money, great evening. only wish would have been to have stayed longer.

Really good but a few things people should know.Posted Jun 30, 2007
The hotel was great, the food was quite good and there was a wide selection. Up until 11pm use the bar above the pool as it is a lot less crowded than the others. Also the drinks selection was very varied, oe lager, white red and rose wines, sangria and a whole host of spirits with mixers available. If you dont like insects keep your room door closed, and really dont make the mistake of thinking you dont need the fan, trust me you definately do. Taxis are not a rip off take them everywhere, forget the bus. A taxi to Maspalomas which is about 8km away costs around 8 euros which is amazing. In the hotel there is an attractions brochure, do not do any of the big ones e.g. aqua land, palmitos park etc. Aqua land was the biggest con ive ever been to, 23 euros to get in and locker then are 5 euros, mini golf is 14 euros each!!!!! A burger and fries will set you back 10euros, even the ice creams are like 3 euros each, unless you use the vending machines where its 1euro each. You are looking at 35euros a head to go eat and play plus the queues for rides are 20 mins plus. Places to go. Maspalomas sand dunes are amazing and it only takes about 1:30hrs to walk there from the hotel. On the way there is a little sign before playe del ingles for an italian resteraunt, sit outside its really pretty. Also visit the Hard Rock Cafe' in Grand Canaria for a bit of nostalgia, its very cheap and good fun for all kids, but take a taxi because we walked and it was very hard to find.
