Very nice hotel. Easy access to beach.Posted Jun 17, 2015
Very lovely stay. Hotel staff very friendly. Food excellent. In the buffet I would've liked the counters to be closer together, instead of having to go from one end of the restaurant to the other. Also not happy about guess putting towel on sunbeds early and not using then throughout the day. We found we used the beach a lot because of this and this could become costly. It was a shame. Lovely hotel. Thank you.

Lovely hotelPosted Jun 13, 2015
This hotel was great........ Staff were very welcoming and friendly. As a newly engaged couple they supplied a chilled bottle of champagne to our room on arrival.... Pools were amazing and not over crowded. Always sunbeds available

Cons: Siehe oben (Aufenthalt)

Quiet and relaxingPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Large, spacious comfortable rooms
Cons: Remove the charge for WiFi in the room and the daily charge to use the in-room safe. Provide at least 1 bottle of complimentary water in the room.
Location: Lovely shops, restaurants and leisurely walks
I spent 5 nights at the Villa Del Conde with my sister. We had a wonderful time of quiet relaxation. Staff were efficient and attentive. The rooms were extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Our room was located near the "Quit Pool" and was perfectly situated for easy access to all amenities. Breakfast was excellent with a vast array of fruits, meats, cheeses and breads on offer. My only criticisms would be that for a hotel of this caliber one would expect WiFi to be free throughout the hotel and not be subject to a charge in your room. The charge of €2.50 a day for the safe also seems a little misplaced in a 5 star hotel. The charge also for the bottled water left out in your room was unexpected - while it was highlighted that goods from the minibar would be charged for there was nothing to indicate the water left out was only available to you at a cost. Given that the tap water is not drinkable I think a solitary complimentary bottle of water would not go astray in a 5 star hotel.

Nice hotel, some sneaky costsPosted Feb 22, 2015
Lovely hotel, well maintained and staff were v helpful. However, no free wifi in rooms and poor coverage in communal areas. We were charged for using the room safe and the bottles of mineral water in the room were not complementary, tennis courts were also not free to use. All minor things but when you've forked out well over 1k for a week's holiday you'd expect some of these things to be included

If you like crowds, this is for youPosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Staff was very helpful
Cons: TOO many people
Location: On the coast and easy access to restaurants and shopping
Let me start by saying that this is a well run hotel. The staff were very supportive and helpful. The location on the coast has access via a promanade to various restaurants and shops and eventually to the beach and sand dunes. So what is not to like. this place caters to a large number of guests. The location of the rooms means you have to walk through a maze of hallways even to get to your room. The meals are overcrowded and anything but intimate. Breakfast requires that you walk through a maze of people and tables just to get to the various serving locations. And the line up for the coffee bar can require a wait of 5 minutes. We did manage to find a place for coffee and tea where they played classical music which was calming and refreshing. The regular evening meal was a buffet restaurant where they also served breakfast. However there was a separate smaller restaurant for evening meals that was very good. Most of our evening meals were outside of the hotel. If you like swimming, there are a number of pools on site which are available (but the weather for us was too cool for swimming. this area along the coast is a tourist location for many northern europeans. It caters to their needs. but if you are looking for something less overwhelming and more intimate, then I would stay away from this part of Gran Canaria.
